Chili Peppers

Each year Aaron searches the internet for different and interesting HOT chili peppers for you to try, while limiting the Scoville Heat Units (SHU) to less than 50,000.

Raised from seed, his 2025 choices are the Brazilian Starfish and (a 2024 favorite) the Bulgarian Carrot.

It takes many months in the garden before the peppers reach their "ripe" color, so some serious thought is being given to overwintering (in hopes of giving the chilis a 2-month head start next year). Success isn’t guaranteed but they are perennials….
