How do you spend your Saturday mornings? I pack up my trailer and head to market! Since 1996, Shooting Star Farm has been a mainstay at the Mineral Point Market, selling high-quality, certified organic vegetables to customers at every Saturday May through October.

Shooting Star Farm began when my partner Rink and I purchased land about ten miles east of town. Together we built our farm from the ground up — driveway, greenhouses, buildings, and all. Although I am currently a solo farmer, I am proud of what we built together and grateful to continue with the help of a few dedicated and hard-working helpers. We crank out a lot of produce on less than two acres of production land. Crop specialties include salad greens and heirloom tomatoes, but you can find everything from broccoli to zucchini on my market table.

Over the years the farm has supplied vegetables to stores and restaurants in Madison, Milwaukee, and Chicago. Currently my focus has been building relationships with local business and individuals. I love providing fresh, organic produce to friends and neighbors.
