It’s hard to believe, but there are just five Saturday mornings left in the Mineral Point Market season.
And if you’ve been coming to the market regularly, you’ve probably already noticed that things are beginning to change.
We’ve already said goodbye to several vendors for the season. Others will be wrapping up in the coming weeks as their harvests wind down, the weather changes, or their schedules shift. For some of our artisans, the fall craft-fair season is beginning to fill their calendars, too.
That’s why this time of year is a good reminder: if there’s a vendor you especially enjoy, don’t wait for the last market to visit them.
Maybe it’s honey you pick up once a month. The bread you need to fill your freezer with. A favorite jam or soap you want to have on hand throughout the winter. Or your go-to vegetables that you need to keep eating fresh for as long as possible.
You never quite know when a vendor’s last market of the season will be. Case in point, this Saturday is Farmer’s Daughter Bakery & Kitchen’s last market.
So over these next five Saturdays, come often. Say hello. Pick up the things you love. Try something new. And take a little time to enjoy the market while we’re still gathering in the park.
Because before we know it, we’ll be saying goodbye for another season.

Barham Gardens & Renewed Traditions
We’re back this week with some canned Aronia products as well as woven rugs and some felted woolen accessories (attendance is weather dependent, we are unable to attend if raining). We may have some sheepskin remnant rugs and/or bags made in collaboration with the Driftless Tannery. We will also have a couple sheepskin from Laxey Creek. Bures Berry Patch
🍂 Fall has officially arrived at Bures Berry Patch! 🎃
While we’ve traded our market table for the pumpkin patch, you can still find many of your favorite Patch goodies, and a whole lot more, at our Farm Store! ❤️
Right now, the Farm Store is stocked with:
🥔 Freshly dug potatoes, 🎃 Pumpkins, gourds & winter squash, 🥚 Farm-fresh eggs, 🍯 Local honey, 🥒 Dilly beans, 🍂 Beautiful fall decorations galore, and 🌽 Corn stalks & straw bales!

A Quick Market Update! 🌱 We’ll be taking a little break from the farmers market on Saturday, October 3rd, but you can still get your Driftless Leaf Microgreens! We’ll be accepting preorders for Sunday, October 4th, with local delivery available that day. If you’d like to stock up on fresh broccoli or radish microgreens, send us your order ahead of time and we’ll make sure you get your greens before the weekend. The end of our season is here! We’re just too dang busy lately, and with harvest in full swing, it’s not going to slow down.
Join us this weekend for our last outing for the 2026 season, and see what we all have to offer! As for us, we’ll have a run of scones, muffins, bars and the ever popular cinnamon rolls.

Laxey Creek Sheep Ranch
Interested in bulk lamb to stock the freezer? We are taking orders for half and whole lambs available in July and August. Contact us for more information.
We will not be at market in 2026 since Ellen is undergoing chemotherapy to treat rectal cancer.
Select lamb cuts are stocked at Cathryn’s Market in Dodgeville, Staple and Fancy in Mineral Point, and at the farm by appointment.
New in 2026 – sheepskins! We have sheepskins, tanned by Driftless Tannery, available at the market – they’re with the woven rugs sold by Barham Gardens and Renewed Traditions.

It’s been a pretty nice week and the bees have been busy preparing for winter. I have been busy rendering and cleaning beeswax, but I still have a long way to go!
I will be at the market this week with lots of local, raw honey, including comb honey! I will also have our farm fresh chicken and duck eggs available, but quantities are limited. If you want eggs, shop early, or stop out to the farm before Saturday!

Shooting Star Farm
Tomato season is coming to an end very soon. I should have a smaller amount of cherry, red, and roma tomatoes this weekend, but in much smaller quantities. The plants are ready to be done! On the other hand, I will have a lot of bunched, gorgeous carrots – another market favorite. And cucumbers -in October! Other items on the table will include fennel, salad turnips, colorful bell peppers, frying peppers, lots of gorgeous red and orange sweet peppers (both mini and larger), a bit of eggplant, mini bok choy, leeks, scallions, mixed beets, salad mix, arugula, curly kale, lacinato kale, delicata squash, plus one or two other winter squash varieties, a variety of onions, shallots, parsley, thyme, and sage. See you Saturday!

Sunny Side Down Farm are celebrating 10 Years this season! We can’t believe it either, and we are glad to be here!
Artisan Breads are BACK, along with Fresh Fruit Pies, locally famous cookies, and we are bringing some NEW products this season!
Look for our new scones (in both regular AND gluten free), new homemade pop tarts, and some new fresh bread varieties!

WWB Studio
WWB studio will not be at this week’s market. Wayne will be helping Paula at the Fiber Fair at Shake Rag Art Center. Paula will have her knit and crochet products on display and for sale. Stop down after the Market and say hello. The Fiber fair is from 10 am to 3:30 pm Saturday, September 26th.
