Open Saturday, June 29th, 8:30-11a in Water Tower Park

Hello MP Market Goers!

It’s going to be a fun week in Mineral Point celebrating the 4th of July!
Do you have everything you need? Here’s a helpful checklist:

Food: Consider what you want to grill (like burgers, hot dogs, or vegetables), sides (like potato salad or coleslaw), snacks (chips and dips), and desserts (maybe something that’s easy to grab like cookies or bars).

Vegetables for Grilling: beets, zucchini, and carrots are great choices.

Herbs: Fresh basil, cilantro, and dill can elevate salads and drinks.

Cheeses: Local cheeses can be a hit for cheese platters or burgers.

Bread: Artisan bread for burgers or sandwiches.

Honey: Local honey for sweetening dishes or making marinades.

Pies and Baked Goods: Pick up a pie or some bars/cookies for dessert.

Flowers: Grab a bouquet of seasonal flowers to decorate your table.

Shopping at the Mineral Point Market not only supports local farmers but also ensures you get fresh, seasonal produce that’s perfect for summer celebrations.

Here is a partial list of items at this week’s market:

Beef, Pork, Chicken, Bacon, Brats, Burgers, Eggs, Cheese, Honey, Maple Syrup, Artisan Breads, Coffee, Sweet and Savory Baked Goods, Sugar Snap Peas, Potatoes, Carrots, Beets, Zucchini & Summer Squash, Broccoli, Mini Napa Cabbage, Fresh Garlic, Scallions, Lettuces, Salad Mix, Arugula, Kale, Fennel, Cilantro, Parsley, Dill, Cucumbers, Pickles, Soup, Fresh Cut Flowers, Water Color Pencil Drawings, Handsewn Bags, Rugs & Sheepskin Weavings, Aronia Applesauce, Houseplants, Artisan Vegan Soaps, Handmade Clay & Resin Jewelry, and much more. Driftless Farms
We’re back again this Saturday!
8-Generations Strong! Driftless Farms LLC is a local, family-owned business specializing in the production of 100% pure, certified organic maple syrup known as Driftless Gold. From sap collection to syrup production to marketing and distribution, family members are directly involved in every step of the process. Our goal is to deliver reliably high-quality syrup to our customers while enhancing and deepening our children’s connection to our 8‑generation family farm in the heart of the Driftless Region. Our family actively manages for a diverse and healthy forest community. At Driftless Farms, we are proud to continue the legacy of land stewardship passed down by our pioneering ancestors.
Our Grade A certified organic maple syrup is available in three grades: Amber Rich, Dark Robust, and Very Dark Strong. Richly flavored Amber Rich offers a sweet, rich taste and serves well as a delectable topping; think oatmeal, Greek yogurt, and ice cream. Dark Robust is known for its full-bodied flavor. This flavorsome favorite is lovely on pancakes, in coffee as a sweetener, and is fantastic as a glaze. Let’s not forget our Very Dark Strong option. This product boasts being the strongest of the maple flavors; a shining favorite when used as an ingredient in baked goods, granola, and so much more. Here at Driftless Farm we believe our customers should be able to consistently choose their favorite of the flavors.

Thank you to everyone who came out in the rain, again, last week to support all of your local market vendors! The forecast for this weekend looks like there is a chance for another wet market, but I’m keeping my hopes up! I plan on being back at the market this week with our farm fresh chicken and duck eggs. Our chickens and ducks free range across our entire property, and sometimes the neighbors too! If you can’t wait until Saturday for eggs, please reach out and we can arrange for pick up at the farm, or delivery in Mineral Point. I have been selling out almost every week, so plan on shopping early if you can! I also plan on bringing a new item to the market this week! Amy has been busy upcycling some of our feed bags into tote bags that would be great for carrying your market purchases! I hope to see you under the water tower this weekend!
Thanks,
Mike

Shooting Star Farm
It’s been a wet June! Thanks so much to everyone who shopped the Market last week during the constant rain. We appreciate you soooo much! I wound up with just over 3-inches of rain on Saturday, with another 2-tenths a few nights later. Keeping up with planting and weeding has been a challenge, but we’re doing our best. Onward to the harvest! This week I plan to bring carrots, beets (lots of colorful ones), zucchini and summer squash, broccoli, mini napa cabbage, fresh garlic heads, scallions, lettuces (mostly smaller varieties), salad mix, arugula, kale, fennel, cilantro, parsley, dill, possibly basil tops, and a few cucumbers. My poor cucumber plants were nibbled to nubs by rabbits (or something), but they made a comeback and are slowly starting to bear fruit. Slowly. See you Saturday! You can pre-order for Market pick-up here

Sunnyside Down Farm
Sunny Side Down are back at the market on Saturday! You can also preorder for easy pickup on our website.
