Our Homestead formerly Magic Light Photography
Happy Father’s Day weekend! I hope you have something special planned for the father figures in your life this weekend, and I hope those plans include a trip to the Market! The weather is looking great for Saturday!
I was able to harvest more honey on Sunday and will have a full range of sizes available for this weekend from small half pound jars that make great gifts, to 1 quart jars that hold almost 3 pounds of honey! This spring honey is very light in color and tastes great!
Along with the honey I will also have our farm fresh chicken and duck eggs available. All of our birds are pasture raised and free to roam across our entire property, and sometimes the neighbors property, and the road…
Our roadside stand took a beating in last week’s storm, but Amy and Holder were able to put it back together. We will try to keep it stocked with honey and eggs so feel free to stop and help yourself, or message me with what you would like and we will get it ready for you. Hope to see you Saturday!
Thanks,
Mike

We’ll have a limited number of jar arrangements since the ranunculus plants have started to fizzle out for the season and our summer flowers aren’t quite ready to take their place yet. Follow along with us on our Facebook page to see what’s happening in our gardens! 🌱✨🌸

Saving Grace Cat Rescue
Hello Mineral Point market goers! We are so excited to be back for another season at the market. Shooting Star Farm
The high winds and pounding rain last Wednesday didn’t do my tender greens any favors, so I may be limited on salad mix again this week. The larger butter and red leaf were also pretty shredded. However, I’ll have plenty of mini lettuces. Those compact little heads got far less damage. A few new items I hope to harvest the week include broccoli, scallions, napa cabbage, and the first sugar snap peas (limited amounts). I’ll have more bunched carrots and beets, kohlrabi, green-stem cauliflower (super tender and yummy), curly kale, cilantro, and dill. Swiss chard and arugula may be ready, but not sure yet. Saturday looks to be beautiful. See you then!

Sugarface Donuts
We’ll be back in July.

Sunny Side Down
Sunny Side Down Farm are celebrating 10 Years this season! We can’t believe it either, and we are glad to be here!
Artisan Breads are BACK, along with Fresh Fruit Pies, locally famous cookies, and we are bringing some NEW products this season!
Look for our new scones (in both regular AND gluten free), new homemade pop tarts, and some new fresh bread varieties!
If you’d like to pre-order to get exactly what you want and pick up at the market, check out our website at ssdfarm.com

WWB Studio
Wayne Banaszak taught drawing and painting and graphic design to students grade one through adults in the public schools for over thirty years. He is now sharing his artistic talents through his original watercolor pencil drawings of rural scenes from the Driftless Area of Wisconsin as well as various other subjects that complement his style of drawing. Many of the original drawings have been turned into note cards which he markets locally. New to his note card collection is a line of interesting sayings and words of wisdom. All of these will be on display at the market. It is his intention to attend all Saturday markets weather permitting. Rain and paper do not get along, so he will not be in attendance on rainy, humid days.

We look forward to seeing you Saturday in Water Tower Park, Business Hwy 151 at Madison Street, Mineral Point! 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.
