Open Saturday, June 22nd, 8:30-11am in Water Tower Park

Hello MP Market Goers!

As the temperature climbs and the sun blazes overhead, there’s a natural inclination to escape the sweltering heat indoors. The solution? Embrace the sizzle and snap of a well-used grill, where the promise of smoky flavors and charred perfection beckons. It’s the season where the kitchen relinquishes its title as culinary command center, and the grill acts as the centerpiece—a catalyst for bonding over shared meals and creating lasting memories.

The rhythmic clink of utensils against the grill grate sets the tempo for an evening of al fresco dining. The aroma of marinated meats and vegetables glistening with olive oil tantalizing taste buds even before the first bite.

This week at market, Marr’s Valley View Farm is having a special on New York Strip steaks! Sounds like a good start to dinner! Add in some salad mix or zucchini for the grill and dinner is set to be delicious!

Here is a partial list of items at this week’s market:

Beef, Pork, Lamb, Chicken, Bacon, Brats, Burgers, Eggs, Cheese, Honey, Maple Syrup, Artisan Breads, Coffee, Sweet and Savory Baked Goods, Sugar Snap Peas, Zucchini & Summer Squash, Carrots, Beets, Scallions, Salad Mix, Cilantro, Dill, Kale, Lettuces, Cauliflower, Napa Cabbage, Strawberries, Water Color Pencil Drawings, Handsewn Bags, Crocheted Items, and much more. Come and check it all out!

We look forward to seeing you this Saturday in Water Tower Park, Business Hwy 151 at Madison Street, Mineral Point! 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.

Barham Gardens

With rain predicted, Barham Gardens (Aronia Applesauce and jams) and Renewed Traditions (woven rugs) will not be at Saturday’s market, or future rainy markets (too detrimental to woven items). Thank you for your interest!

Bures Berry Patch

It’s an incredibly delicious time of year for us at the Patch!😋🍓🫛🥔 We’re working our hardest to make it to market Saturday with all the bounty that the Patch has to offer.  If we’re able, we’ll have sugar snap peas, potatoes, maybe some juicy sweet berries, dilly beans and pickled asparagus, asparagus soup, and honey. 🤞 If we’re not able, we’d love for you to head on out to the Patch where you can pick-your-own strawberries and sugar snap peas fresh from the fields. Ripe and delicious, there is nothing better! There’s just a few days left in the strawberry season, don’t miss out – hurry out! Driftless Farms
We’re back this Saturday!
8-Generations Strong! Driftless Farms LLC is a local, family-owned business specializing in the production of 100% pure, certified organic maple syrup known as Driftless Gold. From sap collection to syrup production to marketing and distribution, family members are directly involved in every step of the process. Our goal is to deliver reliably high-quality syrup to our customers while enhancing and deepening our children’s connection to our 8‑generation family farm in the heart of the Driftless Region. Our family actively manages for a diverse and healthy forest community. At Driftless Farms, we are proud to continue the legacy of land stewardship passed down by our pioneering ancestors.
Our Grade A certified organic maple syrup is available in three grades: Amber Rich, Dark Robust, and Very Dark Strong. Richly flavored Amber Rich offers a sweet, rich taste and serves well as a delectable topping; think oatmeal, Greek yogurt, and ice cream. Dark Robust is known for its full-bodied flavor. This flavorsome favorite is lovely on pancakes, in coffee as a sweetener, and is fantastic as a glaze. Let’s not forget our Very Dark Strong option. This product boasts being the strongest of the maple flavors; a shining favorite when used as an ingredient in baked goods, granola, and so much more. Here at Driftless Farm we believe our customers should be able to consistently choose their favorite of the flavors.

Thank you to everyone who came out once again to support all of your local market vendors last week. I hope all of the dads and father figures out there had a great Father’s Day weekend, I know I did! I am planning on being back at the market with our farm fresh chicken and duck egg once again. We have had a few sales at the farm this week, and the hot weather has slowed our hens down a little bit so my supply of eggs will be a little limited this weekend, so plan on shopping early if you can! If you can’t make it to the market on Saturday, or would like eggs sooner, please reach out to me and we can get you taken care of. Eggs can be picked up at the farm, or I can deliver in town if needed!
Thanks,
Mike

It was great to have a dry Market last week. Fingers crossed the rain holds off again this weekend. I’m coming to the end of some of my spring crops like salad turnips and kohlrabi, with just a handful left of each for the weekend. But will have lots of other great produce including sugar snap peas, zucchini and summer squash, bunched carrots and beets, beautiful scallions, salad mix, cilantro, dill, kale, lots of small and large lettuces including romaine, red leaf, and butter, possibly a bit of cauliflower and napa cabbage, and a few (just a few!) of the first cucumbers. I may be solo at Market this week, so I apologize in advance if the wait is just a tad longer than usual. Still looking for Market help if you or someone you know would like to help set-up and sell at my stand. It’s a little hectic, but a lot of fun. See you Saturday! You can pre-order for Market pick-up here
