Driftless Farms
We’ll be gone on the 15th, but back at Market on June 22nd. See you then!
8-Generations Strong! Driftless Farms LLC is a local, family-owned business specializing in the production of 100% pure, certified organic maple syrup known as Driftless Gold. From sap collection to syrup production to marketing and distribution, family members are directly involved in every step of the process. Our goal is to deliver reliably high-quality syrup to our customers while enhancing and deepening our children’s connection to our 8‑generation family farm in the heart of the Driftless Region. Our family actively manages for a diverse and healthy forest community. At Driftless Farms, we are proud to continue the legacy of land stewardship passed down by our pioneering ancestors.
Our Grade A certified organic maple syrup is available in three grades: Amber Rich, Dark Robust, and Very Dark Strong. Richly flavored Amber Rich offers a sweet, rich taste and serves well as a delectable topping; think oatmeal, Greek yogurt, and ice cream. Dark Robust is known for its full-bodied flavor. This flavorsome favorite is lovely on pancakes, in coffee as a sweetener, and is fantastic as a glaze. Let’s not forget our Very Dark Strong option. This product boasts being the strongest of the maple flavors; a shining favorite when used as an ingredient in baked goods, granola, and so much more. Here at Driftless Farm we believe our customers should be able to consistently choose their favorite of the flavors.

Farmer’s Daughter Bakery and Kitchen
It’s another day to spoil that special fella in your life! It’s Father’s Day Weekend and our 4th Annual Bar Box weekend! What’s a Bar Box, you wonder? It’s a baker’s dozen (13) of delicious put together custom just for that special person. We offer *12* different dessert bars for this occasion, so make a mix of all; make ’em all the same; split ’em 50/50; whatever! And don’t worry, if he isn’t a bar kind of guy; we can put together something else from our list as well. Pre-order is highly recommended on these and for individual orders this week for markets, as those will get filled first. What is left for the table after orders is what will be left. Please pre-order by Noon on Friday! Bar Boxes are $25. (Normal price picked off the table would be $33. So, get one for yourself. Everything keeps in the fridge and freezes very well. We won’t tell…) Keep in mind, too, that we won’t be at market next Saturday, June 22, so grabbing one of these is a great way to tie your family over until the 29th!
Alright – enough babble – here’s what we will have this week:
Scones: cheddar onion dill, bacon apricot, maple butter, strawberry
Muffins: banana chocolate chip, lemon blueberry, almond peach
Sweet Rolls: classic cinnamon, orange cream (these are super popular!)
Bars and Treats: maple pecan, Carmelitas, S’mores, oatmeal fudge, classic lemon, raspberry patch, peanut butter, orange brownies, strawberry lemon blondies, apple blondies, cheesecake brownies, apricot lemon
We are looking forward to seeing everyone out and about this weekend enjoying the beautiful weather!
If you’d like to pre-order anything, please do so by Noon Friday. You can place your order on Facebook and send us a message, send us an email at farmgalsbake@yahoo.com or send us a text message at 608-214-3475.
See you at the market!

Thank you to everyone who braved another wet Saturday morning at the Market last week. If the forecast holds, we should stay dry this week. Fingers crossed! I plan on being back at the market with our farm fresh chicken and duck eggs. I sold out of everything by 9:30 last week, so shop early so you don’t miss out. We only get 2-3 dozen duck eggs each week, and they go fast at the market! Duck eggs have a richer flavor than chicken eggs and are great for adding a richer flavor to baked goods and can also be prepared like regular chicken eggs. Hope to see you Saturday morning!
Thanks,
Mike

Yvonne and Patrick McIntyre with Over The Moon Soap Company are excited to bring their handmade Goat Milk Soaps, Shampoo Bars and Bath Accessories to the Mineral Point Market again this year! They will be back on the FIRST SATURDAY of each month throughout the season.
They offer 16 unique bar soap scents with something for both men and women, along with four shampoo bars. If you haven’t tried their luxurious soaps yet, you need to give them a try. It’s especially great for those with issues such as eczema as goat milk and shea butter, as well as essential oils, all contain wonderful natural healing properties.
Yvonne began making the soap for herself to soothe her dry skin. Then she gifted soaps to family, friends and co-workers for birthdays, etc, and from there, it has blossomed into a small business. She is so glad to share this wonderful soap with you!
If you can’t make it to market, and wish to purchase their soaps, just contact them via email at overthemoonsoapco@gmail.com. Saving Grace Cat Rescue will be present to share information about our rescue efforts and to collect donations. We will also have t-shirts and art for sale to raise money for our non profit. We are looking forward to a great season!

Shooting Star Farm
The dry weather early this week finally allowed us to transplant the remaining long-season crops like field tomatoes and winter squash. It’s good to have those checked off the long list of planting projects. More summer-like weather also means more crops coming in. This week I should be harvesting the first carrots from the hoophouse. They will be small to medium sized, and delicious. Last week I brough just a few zucchini to Market, and those plants seemed to be taking their own sweet time to produce. But today I noticed another flush of fruit, so zucchini season has officially arrived. Other items I am planning to harvest for Saturday include: scallions, red spring onions, bunched beets, kohlrabi, salad turnips, red radishes, arugula, cilantro; romaine, red leaf, and butter lettuces; garlic scapes, a bit of kale, and possibly a few sugar snap peas. I won’t know if some will be ready until Friday, but fingers crossed. You can pre-order for Market pick-up here (peas, sadly, will not be on the list). I’m still looking for a Saturday morning helper to set-up, sell, and tear down my market stand with me. Hours are 7:00am – 11:30am, 2-3x per month or more. Hourly pay and extra veggies! See you Saturday!

Sunnyside Down Farm
Sunny Side Down will be at the market with all our artisan bread varieties, fresh pies, cookies, sweet breads, & jam!
Strawberry Rhubarb is our highlight this week! Find these in-season flavors across Pies, jam, and sweet breads!
Our website is back up and running!
You can now Pre-Order for Mineral Point Market pickup!
Have a specific pie you’d like? Don’t want to get up early to get to market and miss out on bread? Pre-Order!
