Open Saturday, June 14th, 8:30-11am in Water Tower Park

Scroll down for a complete list of who will be vending this week.

Hello MP Market Goers!

It’s official — summer is kicking off in Mineral Point! ☀️

The pool is open, school’s out, the temps are rising — and we’re celebrating it and Father’s Day with a fresh new wave of summer produce at the market.

🍓 Strawberries are starting to make an appearance (get there early — they go fast!)
❤️‍🔥 Beets are coming in strong — earthy, sweet, and full of flavor
🌿 And if we’re lucky, we just might see the first of the bunched carrots this Saturday!

It’s the season of cookouts, quick salads, and fresh-picked everything — and the market is the perfect place to grab your summer staples. Swing by for farm-fresh eggs, pasture-raised meats, homemade jams, local honey, baked goods, flowers, artisan goods, and more.

🧺 Grab a coffee, let the kids play, fill your tote — and settle into the slow, sunny rhythm of summer at the Mineral Point Market.

📍 Water Tower Park

🍓 Pro Tip: How to Store Strawberries
To keep your berries fresher, longer:
Don’t wash until ready to eat.
Store in a glass jar with a bit of paper towel on the bottom to absorb moisture.
Loosely cover and refrigerate.

See you at market Saturday!

Local. Fresh. Convenient.

Warmly,
Kathy Bures

Ollie’s Slime
Hi! We’re Ollie and Cleo, and we’re both 9 years old. We started this slime business because we LOVE slime.
You can buy our slime at the Mineral Point Market on Saturdays in June. Look for Ollie’s Slime!
June 7, June 14, June 21,and June 28.
We experiment, create, mix, stretch, and squish all the slimes ourselves.
We try fun colors, cool textures, and even add charms. We sell butter slime, cloud slime, thick and glossy slime, and surprise slimes too.
Each one has a fun name and is super fun to play with.
We started this business for something fun to do. Maybe our business will get big and maybe it won’t.
Either way, everyone can have fun with slime. You don’t have to be a kid.
Thanks for checking out our slime!

Happy Father’s Day Weekend! I missed seeing everyone at the Market last weekend, but it sure was nice relaxing in the north woods for a while. This week I will be back and will have lots of eggs available, both chicken and duck. I will also have raw honey in 1/2 pound and 1 pound glass jars. I think I have one pint jar, with honeycomb in it, left as well. Along with the eggs and honey, I will also have our upcycled market tote bags made from feed bags. We have several different chicken designs, and even one featuring a goat. I hope to see you Saturday morning! If you are interested in any of our products, but unable to make it to the market on Saturday, please feel free to contact me to set up a time to come to the farm, or I may be able to deliver.
Thanks,
Mike

Shooting Star Farm
Ahh June. It’s Father’s Day weekend, strawberry you-pick farms are opening, and it’s beginning to feel like summer! I’ll have a few new items this week including bunched carrots from the hoophouse and green stem cauliflower. This cauliflower has a more open habitat with longer stems. Both the curds and stems are sweeter and more tender than standard cauliflower. Garlic scapes are coming in too, and when combined with cilantro and a few other ingredients, you can make my absolute favorite pesto. Find the recipe here. I’ll be bringing plenty of lettuce heads (no running out this week!), along with lots of salad mix and arugula for salads. Other items include bunched beets, kohlrabi, salad turnips, a small amount of spinach, dill, Swiss chard, lacinato and curly kale, and possibly some radishes. Sugar snaps are so close but probably won’t be ready until next week. See you Saturday!

Sunny Side Down
