Open Saturday, Oct. 17th, 8:30-11am in Water Tower Park

Hello MP Market Goers!

Made by Hand, Grown with Care 🎨

This weekend, creativity will be on display all across Mineral Point, Dodgeville, & Spring Green as the Fall Art Tour invites visitors into artists’ studios to see their work and learn more about the people behind it.

It’s a wonderful reminder that so much of what we enjoy in our community begins with someone making something.

An artist works with clay, paint, wood, or fiber, turning an idea into something you can see and touch. A baker measures, mixes, and works with ingredients to create something to share. A farmer tends crops through changing weather and long days, bringing the harvest to market. A maker experiments with ingredients, materials, and techniques until a product is just right.

The finished pieces may look very different, but there’s a common thread: time, skill, creativity, and a person who cares about what they’re making.

That’s something we appreciate every Saturday at the Mineral Point Market. Behind the vegetables, baked goods, jams, soaps, flowers, and handmade goods are people who put thought and effort into their work, and who enjoy sharing the results with others.

With the Fall Art Tour happening this weekend, it’s a good time to celebrate all the people who make things in our community. Whether you’re discovering an artist’s latest work, meeting a local farmer, or finding a new favorite from one of our market vendors, there’s something special about knowing a little more about the person behind what you’re taking home.

If you’re heading out to enjoy the Art Tour, consider starting your Saturday morning at the market. Say hello to our vendors, see what’s on the tables, and enjoy another opportunity to appreciate the creativity and hard work happening right here in our community.
