Open Saturday, Sept. 5th, 8:30-11am in Water Tower Park

Hello MP Market Goers!

Don’t blink — summer is moving fast!

It seems like just yesterday we were waiting for the first asparagus, strawberries, and spring greens to make their appearance. Now the market tables are overflowing with the colors and flavors of late summer: tomatoes, peppers, raspberries, eggplants, green beans, beautiful flowers, and so much more.

And while we’re not quite ready to say goodbye to summer, this weekend is a pretty good reminder that the seasons are changing. The Iowa County Fair is in full swing, Labor Day is Monday and the kids are already back in school! So there’s plenty happening around Mineral Point. It’s a busy weekend!

So before you head off to the fair, your family gatherings, or whatever else the weekend has in store, take a little time Saturday morning to slow down at the market.

Grab a coffee and something delicious for breakfast. Pick up fresh produce for the week ahead. Stock up on locally raised meat, eggs, cheese, baked goods, and flowers. Visit with your favorite vendors and maybe discover something new while you’re there.

Because that’s one of the best things about shopping at the market — you never know exactly what you’ll find. What’s plentiful this week may be gone in a few weeks, and something completely new will take its place.

So come enjoy these last weeks of summer abundance while it’s here. We promise there’s no rush. Well…except maybe to get to the fair. 😉

See you Saturday!

Our Homestead formerly Magic Light Photography
Wow, this summer flew by way too fast! It’s hard to believe the kids are back in school, and the fair is this weekend. And who ordered the heat and humidity?!?
Thank you to everyone who came out to support all of the local vendors last week, in spite of the not so great weather. Your support for everyone is truly appreciated and the reason we come back to the market every week.
If I survive the heat and humidity this week, I will be at the Market on Saturday morning with lots of local, raw honey. I will also have our farm fresh, pasture raised chicken and duck eggs available, but supplies are limited. Our hens are either slowing down, or finding better hiding places, along with sales at the farm means our supply of eggs is getting low. If you want eggs, please shop early or stop out to the farm in the evenings to pick them up. With the heat this week, I have not been stocking the cooler in our roadside stand with eggs. The stand is stocked with honey.
Hope to see you Saturday!
Thanks,
Mike
