Hello MP Market Goers!

Summer Saturdays just hit differently — lazy mornings, cool drinks, and the laid-back joy of warm weather. Let’s make the Mineral Point Market part of your regular Saturday routine!

Here’s how to make the most of your mornings this season:

🧺 1. Come early — swing by around 8:30 to catch the freshest picks and avoid the midday heat.
🍓 2. Grab breakfast bites — enjoying vendors’ baked goods or a savory snack in the shade makes any Saturday brighter.
☕ 3. Take your time — sip coffee, chat with vendors and neighbors, and let the kids play while you shop.
🍃 4. Plan ahead — bring a cooler if you’re picking up meats, dairy, or veggies.
🌼 5. Savor the moment — it’s more than groceries; it’s community, connection, and summer energy.

Rockin’ Highlands
👋 Hi Mineral Point Market friends!
Rockin’ Highlands Farm has what’s needed this Saturday!
Whether planning a late summer BBQ or stocking up for delicious meals, the perfect cuts are available.
Come and chat with us about what makes Rockin’ Highlands Farm’s Scottish Highland beef special.
Here’s a bonus:
Want to try the incredible Reverse Sear method?
Low & Slow: Season steak and place it on a rack in a 250°F oven. Cook until the desired internal temperature is reached (around 115°F for medium-rare).
Rest: Remove the steak and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
Sear: While resting, heat a cast iron skillet or grill to high heat. Add a high-heat oil (like avocado oil) and sear for 1-2 minutes per side until a crust forms.
Enjoy! Slice and enjoy a perfectly cooked, juicy steak!
See you Saturday!

Rural Roots
The forecast is looking a little uncertain for Saturday – we’ll plan to be there rain or shine, but if it turns into a morning full of thunderstorms we may decide to sit this one out. But if it’s just a few showers we’ll be there with fresh-cut flowers! 💐 We’re hoping the weather cooperates and you’ll stop by to grab a bouquet to add a bright spot to your day or someone else’s. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for a sneak peek at this week’s arrangements and to see if the lilies will make their debut.🌸 💐

We hope to see you Saturday!

Shooting Star Farm
It’s hard to believe we’re already into mid-July! It’s finally been dry enough to work the soil, so my crew and I have been getting in the last plantings of broccoli, cabbage, kale, and carrots. I seed salad greens and transplant lettuce every week (weather permitting), so it shouldn’t be long before I’m back on track with a reasonable supply, as long as the heat and humidity take a back seat for a while. New this week are fresh onions. I’ll have bunched white and Italian bottle onions available. The greens are useable and taste like strong scallion greens. In addition, I’ll have green beans, zucchini, cucumbers, fennel, red and green cabbage, napa cabbage, kale, Swiss chard, a limited amount of lettuce and salad greens, some mixed cherry tomato pints, beets, basil, parsley, bell and Italian frying peppers, possibly shishito peppers, a small amount of red and heirloom tomatoes, and scallions. My first crop of carrots are done and the second one is nearly ready. Not sure if they’ll be available this week or next. Hopefully the rain will hold off for Market. See you there!

Sunny Side Down
Sunny Side Down will not be at market on July 19.
Amber is getting married!
We will return on July 26th with all your favorite products!
Thank you all so much for a fantastic summer at Mineral Point Market!
