Open Saturday, July 12th, 8:30-11am in Water Tower Park

Scroll down for a complete list of who will be vending this week.

Hello MP Market Goers!

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on one of our favorite market vendors: Sunny Side Down Farm, run by sisters Amber and Mandy, whose passion for baking has become a highlight of the Mineral Point Market.

🌾 From Small Farm to Artisan Kitchen
Based just outside Dodgeville on a charming 5‑acre plot, Sunny Side Down has grown from a hobby farm into a private bakery that supplies us with some of the best artisan breads, pies, cookies, and more.

🍞 Fresh-Baked Offerings You’ll Love
Each week they bring fresh loaves of delicious bread, locally famous cookies (in a dozen flavors!), sweet breads, and pies — all handcrafted with care.

❤️ Family-Run & Community-Focused
Amber and Mandy manage five ovens, bake in their home kitchen, and even offer free sliced bread with your pre-order. They’ve prioritized gluten-free options this season too — so there’s something for everyone.

Why We ❤️ Sunny Side Down at the Market

Handmade, homegrown love adds warmth to every treat.
Local sisters supporting local neighbors by offering delivery and weekly pick-up at our market.
A sense of tradition and innovation — their offerings evolve with the season, and their story adds depth to every bite.

Come Say Hi This Saturday!
Pick up a fresh slice of community — and maybe a cookie (or three) — at the market this weekend.

We should have Aronia Rhubarb jam and Aronia Applesauce. There is a possibility we will have some Aronia Pepper Jam (which always receives rave reviews). We will also have handwoven rugs as well as sheepskin mats/rugs. We look forward to seeing you there. Our attendance at the Saturday market will depend on the weather. If there is a high likelihood of rain (or if it is raining), we will NOT be there.

The Cornish Baker
Hi Market Friends, We are planning to be back again this summer, but have had a busy family schedule and won’t be able to attend. We miss seeing your smiling faces and hope to attend soon. 😊
We are a mother and daughter baking team with Cornish heritage specializing in Cornish tea biscuits, Cornish figgyhobbin, Cornish saffron breads, and 9″ full-size pies filled with 3+ cups of homemade filling! We also offer gourmet jumbo-size muffins and jumbo cinnamon rolls topped with REAL cream cheese frosting. All of our items are homemade from scratch using premium ingredients.
We started at the Mineral Point Market in late July 2022. Our time there greatly exceeded our expectations and we have continued with special orders and events since. 😊
Follow our Facebook page to see when and pictures of what we’ll be offering at the next Market we attend. You can place a special order with us or reserve items from our Mineral Point Market list at thepropercornishbaker@gmail.com or through Facebook Messenger @thecornishbaker. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday mornings this summer!

Farmer’s Daughter Bakery and Kitchen
Hi market friends! Come on out and see us all this weekend for the nice weather, tables full of great eats and treats, and more. Did you hear that right up the road Dodgeville is having their annual Farmer Appreciation Days this weekend as well? Did you also know that most of the vendors at our market are farmers themselves or patronize the farming community to produce their items? It’s true! Agriculture plays such an important role in our everyday lives that it’s sometimes easy to dismiss the tiniest bit and only see the larger pictures. Anywho… back to our list! Here’s what we will have this week, so put your pre-orders in by noon on Friday!
Scones: cheddar onion dill, cranberry orange, mulberry spice, coconut lime.
Muffins: banana chocolate chip, lemon blueberry, tropical.
Bars and Treats: cherry coffeecake, cranberry walnut, oatmeal fudge, peanut butter bars, S’mores, orange brownies.
Sweet Rolls: cinnamon, orange cream, cherry vanilla.
Thank you to everyone who has come out this season thus far! It’s so fun to see all the smiling faces and all the kiddos another year older!
Please place a pre-order by Noon Friday! ** Pies available by order only **
If you’d like to pre-order, feel free to email us at farmgalsbake@yahoo.com; text or call us at 608-214-3475; or message us from our Facebook page.

Dear lamb lovers of Mineral Point~
With the pending arrival of our third child, we won’t be at the market for a while. We’re taking orders for whole or half a lamb (to be butchered in late August).
The farm store is open by appointment, and we have a fully stocked freezer for those who want a package or two of lamb. Our lamb is also available in Madison at Meat People Butcher Shop on Monona Drive. For more information, contact us by email or phone.

Our Homestead formerly Magic Light Photography
This weather sure has been great for the flowers in our prairie, and the raspberries I have been enjoying fresh from the garden this week, but our hens do not enjoy the extreme heat. We will have chicken and duck eggs at the market this week, but quantities will be limited. If you would like eggs, plan on arriving early, or reach out to me to make arrangements to get eggs before Saturday! I will also have the last few jars of last year’s honey harvest available on Saturday. Along with our eggs and honey, I will also have some of our shopping bags made from upcycled feed bags. We have several different designs available to choose from. I will not be at the market on the 19th as we are on the Historical Society Garden Tour that weekend.
Thanks,
Mike

Rockin’ Highlands
👋 Hi Mineral Point Market friends!
Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July! If you’re looking to keep the good times (and the grilling!) rolling, Rockin’ Highlands Farm has what’s needed this Saturday!
Whether planning a late summer BBQ or stocking up for delicious meals, the perfect cuts are available.
Come and chat with us about what makes Rockin’ Highlands Farm’s Scottish Highland beef special.
Here’s a bonus:
Want to try the incredible Reverse Sear method?
Low & Slow: Season steak and place it on a rack in a 250°F oven. Cook until the desired internal temperature is reached (around 115°F for medium-rare).
Rest: Remove the steak and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
Sear: While resting, heat a cast iron skillet or grill to high heat. Add a high-heat oil (like avocado oil) and sear for 1-2 minutes per side until a crust forms.
Enjoy! Slice and enjoy a perfectly cooked, juicy steak!
See you Saturday!

Stay tuned to our Facebook page for a sneak peek at this week’s arrangements and to see if the lilies will make their debut.🌸 💐

Shooting Star Farm
Peas are done and beans are starting! I’ll have the first harvest for this weekend. Quantities will be limited, but plenty more are in the pipeline. My green cabbage is just the right fix for your summer coleslaw addiction. It’s juicy and sweet and heads are not too big. I’ll have both green and red cabbages as well as napa cabbage. Other yummy items for Saturday include carrots, red and gold beets, scallions, cucumbers (regular slicing and elongated Japanese), three types of zucchini, big fennel bulbs, curly kale, kohlrabi, Swiss chard, dill, basil, a smattering of tomatoes, some mini lettuce heads, and possibly salad mix. Tender greens are not fond of steamy weather, but I’ll harvest what I can. See you Saturday!
