Hello MP Market Goers!
Through Heat, Rain & Mud — They Still Show Up 💪
Hard Work, Hot Days & Fresh Food — Let’s Hear It for Our Farmers!
It was a scorcher this week — hot days, heavy rains, and sticky humidity. While many of us sought shade or air conditioning, our local farmers were still out there: tending fields, feeding livestock, harvesting veggies, collecting eggs, and somehow still showing up to the market with smiles and beautiful products.
👏 Let’s give a big shoutout to the folks who keep this market growing, no matter the forecast:
Shooting Star Farm
Laxey Creek Sheep Ranch
Rockin’ Highlands
Our Homestead
Bures Berry Patch
PJ’s Poultry
Rural Roots Flower Farm
Hook’s Corner Greenhouse
Barham Gardens
From keeping animals cool in the heat to dodging downpours during harvest — their dedication is what fills our tables and our market bags every Saturday.
Next time you’re at the market, take a moment to thank a farmer. Ask what’s growing. Hear their story. And maybe pick up something you haven’t tried before — because behind every product is a person who worked hard to bring it here.

Ollie’s Slime
Hi! We’re Ollie and Cleo, and we’re both 9 years old. We started this slime business because we LOVE slime.
You can buy our slime at the Mineral Point Market on Saturdays in June. Look for Ollie’s Slime!
June 7, June 14, June 21,and June 28.
We experiment, create, mix, stretch, and squish all the slimes ourselves.
We try fun colors, cool textures, and even add charms. We sell butter slime, cloud slime, thick and glossy slime, and surprise slimes too.
Each one has a fun name and is super fun to play with.
We started this business for something fun to do. Maybe our business will get big and maybe it won’t.
Either way, everyone can have fun with slime. You don’t have to be a kid.
Thanks for checking out our slime!

According to the calendar, and the temperatures, Summer is officially here! I’m seeing more color in our prairie as new blooms pop up. I’m also excited to see some raspberries in my little patch and looking forward to harvesting them in the future! My bees have been busy packing away honey and I will be adding more boxes to my hives later this week. So far it’s looking like it’s going to be a good honey crop this year! The hot weather has slowed our hens down a bit, but they are still laying some eggs for us. This week at the market I will have my local, raw and unfiltered honey available in 1 pound and half pound glass jars. The 1 pound jars are from a later harvest last fall, and are a little darker in color than my 1/2 pound jars, but both taste great! I will also have chicken and duck eggs available this weekend. With the hot weather slowing down egg production, you will want to stock up on eggs early as I wouldn’t be surprised if I sell out! I will also have our market tote bags made from recycled feed bags. Be sure to check out all of the different designs! I hope to see you Saturday!
Thanks,
Mike
