Hello MP Market Goers!

What a great day it was last Saturday! We hope you were able to get out and enjoy the market and all it had to offer! Thanks especially to our Belgian Host Family that made waffles and crepes for us; they were so delicious!

This week expect more of the same, but with things heating up you’ll want to be sure and secure some of your favorites before their gone and grab some of the new goodness popping up at market. With the heat, it may just be the last week for asparagus & radishes🙅‍♀️😬, but now you can get kohlrabi and beautiful heads of lettuce🥳🥳.

Plus, James Pine Valley will be stocked up with Hook’s Cheese so you can have some on hand for those kiddos who are now home from school and ravenous 24/7. Not to mention Marr’s Valley View Farms summer sausage or beef sticks.

🎶Don’t forget if you play an instrument or sing, we’d love to have you at the market! For more info or to sign up head here: Music at Market .🎹🎺🎻🎸

Here is a partial list of items at this week’s market:

Beef, Pork, Bacon, Brats, Burgers, Chicken, Eggs, Cheese, Artisan Breads, Coffee, Sweet and Savory Baked Goods, Salad Mix, Arugula, Spinach, Lettuce, Radishes, Kohlrabi, Green Garlic, Mini Bok Choi, Beets, Sprouting Broccoli, Asparagus, Rhubarb, Honey, Pickles, Crocheted Afghans, Bags, & Ponchos, Flowers (fresh cut and potted), Paintings, Engraved Items, and much more. Fripperies MP

Welcome to Water Tower Park! We have something new for you this year. Wayne was an art teacher for 33 years and has decided to go back to his roots of drawing. He has taken up watercolor pencils and some great outdoor subjects to sketch. Also new this year are engraved tumblers and mugs. Many will be engraved with general titles and logos, while others will be waiting for your personal requests. They come in six different colors for you to choose from. Cheese boards will be available with some engraved and some waiting for your personal requests. We look forward to a great spring, summer, fall in the park and seeing many familiar faces.

James Pine Valley Farm

Hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday weekend and the weather was great. We will have our usual products on hand again this Saturday –whole chicken and half chicken packages, breast packages and leg/thigh packages. And heart/liver packages. All of the varieties of Hooks cheese are once again very popular and will have many to choose from this week. Of course there will be several dozen eggs on hand. The days have been quite warm this week and we sure could use some rain. Stay cool and see you on Saturday. Mary Jean, Madelyn and Emmitt, James Pine Valley Farm

Just Poured Candle Co.

My name is Holly Adams, and I created Just Poured Candle Co. in 2022 with the support of my family and husband David, a Mineral Point native. Why? Well, I love candles and I love to make things. As a full-time caregiver for my husband, who suffered a C4 spinal cord injury and stroke in 2016, I found candle making as a creative outlet to help relieve everyday stress and fulfill a passion.
My mission is simple. Provide hand-crafted, non-toxic candles that add warmth and inspiration to any room. All my candles are made from 100% soy wax, from soybeans grown in the United States. I also do not use any dyes or additives, and only high-quality fragrance oils that do not contain parabens or phthalates. In addition to making candles, I make several other all natural products as well. Some of my other products include room sprays, bug & tick repellent, and lip balm.
Mineral Point Market Dates: June 10th , July 8th , August 12th , & September 9th

Unfortunately, King’s Hill won’t be able to make it to mkt this weekend. We’ve had some tractor issues and need to use the weekend to get caught up on planting. We’ll be back next weekend!

Shooting Star Farm

It’s been warm. And dry. And the tractor’s been down for over a week. But, hey – things are going fine anyway. I have great help from Ella and Galen, and my handy child got the trusty, old walk-behind tiller up and running. I may be a bit behind, but this hot weather will help the somewhat late plantings catch up. Speaking of heat, what a great week to eat some greens! I will have salad mix, arugula, spinach, butter lettuce, romaine lettuce, and beautiful red leaf lettuce at Market on Saturday. In addition, you can get red or French breakfast radishes, kohlrabi, green garlic, mini bok choi, bunched beets, and sprouting broccoli. My sprouting broccoli bunches are mostly tender leaf and stem with a little floret. Cook the entire bunch – stems and leaves and all. Or use leaves/stem in raw salads like you would kale. The flavor is very mild and delicious. This may be a one-time crop due to the high temps, so enjoy if you can. Pre-order for Market pick-up from Wednesday 6pm until Thursday 6pm. See website for details. See you Saturday!

Sweet Earth Garden and Vintage China

Hello, Sweet Earth Gardens will be at the market with Peonies, Iris, Salvia Dahlias, Gerbera Daisies and Phlox. Hope to see you there. Enjoy this lovely weather.
