Hello MP Market Goers!
A big thank you to everyone who came out and helped us kick off the Mineral Point Market season last weekend! Despite the early chill, the smiles were warm, the booths were full, and the park was buzzing — it felt so good to be back together.
We’ll be back this Saturday (8:30–11 am in Water Tower Park) with more local goodness — and this week, we’ve got something extra special in store…
🌸 Mother’s Day is Sunday — and the market is the perfect place to pick up a thoughtful, local gift for Mom. Bring her along and let her choose her favorite:
💐 Bouquets of fresh tulips
🌿 Hanging baskets & annuals for planting
🍪 Homemade baked goods
🧼 Handcrafted artisan items and more
Whether you’re shopping for her or with her, the Mineral Point Market is a lovely way to spend your Saturday morning — and a beautiful way to show Mom some love.
Come stroll, sip, and shop your local favorites.

Our Homestead formerly Magic Light Photography
I hope everyone was able to get out and enjoy the first Market of the season. I was really hoping to be there with you, but my absence was unavoidable.
It’s already been a very busy spring here at Our Homestead. Our chickens and ducks have been laying like crazy, we have been busy hatching chicks and ducklings to expand our flock, three of the four bee colonies that survived the winter are building up like crazy and I have started three new colonies. If the weather cooperates I plan on adding some honey supers to a couple of my hives to see if I can get some spring honey! Our 10 year old, Camden, has started his very first bee colony this Spring too! So far he’s loving having his own bees and loves to visit the bee yard with me. I also spent some time earlier this spring making some maple syrup.
Now that you know what I have been up to, here is what I plan on bringing to the Market on Saturday. EGGS! I plan on having a lot of chicken and duck eggs Saturday morning. Along with eggs, I will also have local, raw honey. My honey supply is running low, but I should have plenty for the first few weeks of the Market. I will also have pure beeswax candles, and market totes made from upcycled feed bags. I will also have a limited supply of my homemade maple syrup! I hope to see you under the water tower on Saturday. The weather forecast looks perfect for the first Market of the season!
Thanks,
Mike
