Hello MP Market Goers!

Bonus Outdoor Market this Saturday October 22nd! We’ll be back at the usual place, at the usual time, minus the frosty morning! The list of vendors is somewhat uncertain, but we will definitely be seeing these folks:

Cafe 43, Calaurfarm, The Proper Cornish Baker, Marr’s Valley View Farm, Pine Valley Farm, and Shooting Star Farm. Meat, cheese, eggs, baked goods, garlic, vegetables – sounds like a week of groceries. For some seasonal spooky fun in the evening, the adults in your house can head to Shake Rag Alley for A Ghostly Gathering fundraiser.

We look forward to seeing you this Saturday in Water Tower Park, Business Hwy 151 at Madison Street, Mineral Point! 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.

Jenny Bonde
Co-Manager
Mineral Point Market

CALAUR Farm

We will be at the market this Saturday! We will be bringing our German Extra Hardy and
Chesnok Red garlic varieties. Hope to see you there!

The Cornish Baker

We are a mother and daughter baking team with Cornish Heritage specializing in Cornish Tea Biscuits, Figgyhobbin, Cornish Saffron Breads, Fruit Pies (HAND size and 9” FULL size, with over 3 cups of homemade filling!), Jumbo Sized Muffins and Jumbo Cinnamon Rolls.
We are blessed to be able to bake in house under Wisconsin’s Cookie Bill, and bring some of our Traditional Cornish and other baked goods to market. We have been baking for many years and have decided to share them with you!
Our Facebook page is @thecornishbaker. We would love for you to follow us as we add photos of our baked goods and what we will be offering at Saturday’s Market. Our couple of months at the Mineral Point Market has exceeded our expectations! We’ve met so many wonderful people from the Mineral Point area and have also seen A LOT of familiar faces and old friends that we haven’t seen in awhile. Thank you for stopping by! 😊
ALL of our pies are made with HOMEMADE Scratch fillings. This Saturday we will have: Door County Cherry and Maine Blueberry HAND Pies. 9” FULL SIZE Fruit Pies: Door County Cherry, Maine Blueberry, Local Orchard Apple, Cranberry Apple, Red Raspberry & Pecan. We will also have select individual slices for purchase if you can’t eat a whole pie! 🍰 We made a batch of Creamy CHOCOLATE FUDGE w/Toasted Pecans and will have samples to try before purchase. It won’t be long before the holidays arrive and this chilly weather is a friendly (or not so friendly) reminder!
If you missed Cornish Fest in September or just want some more of your favorite Cornish sweets, we will have Freshly Baked Cornish Saffron Cake (by the loaf or slices), Jumbo Cornish Tea Biscuits and Cornish Figgyhobbin! If you are unsure of what these bakery items are, just check out our Facebook page posts where we have lots of pictures of what we offer. We’ll also have Assorted Jumbo Muffins, including Lemon Zest Blueberry, Lemon Zest Poppyseed, Carrot Raisin Nut, Coffee Infused Coffee Cake w/Toasted Pecans, Raspberry w/Ghirardelli White Chocolate AND Whole Wheat Banana Chocolate Chip. We will also have individual AND pans of Homemade Jumbo Cinnamon Rolls w/icing. Our Jumbo PUMPKIN Spice Cinnamon Rolls with Maple Icing have been quite a hit, so we’ll have those as well. 🍁
We are looking forward to the market again this Saturday and know that the season will be ending soon! All of our baked items are wrapped in Saran for freshness and freeze well for up to three months in Ziploc freezer bags. Our FULL 9″ PIES can sell out quickly (and have limited amounts available) AND fit perfectly in Gallon Sized Ziploc Freezer bags! We thought that 75 pounds of Door County Cherries would last the Market season, but our awesome customers made sure they didn’t! We took a road trip earlier this week to get another 25 pounds of cherries…we’ll see how long they last. 😊 You can DM us on our Facebook page to save back OR to place a special order for a fresh pan of Cinnamon Rolls, Batch or Half Batch of Jumbo Muffins, FULL 9″ Size Pie, Cornish Figgyhobbin Loaf (or individual slices), Cornish Saffron Cake or Cornish Tea Biscuits by emailing us at thepropercornishbaker@gmail.com or Facebook message @thecornishbaker by Friday at 10 a.m. for Market day pickup. You can also pick up at our address in Dodgeville. (DM us for details). The holidays are quickly approaching and hope that you will allow us to help you with by baking for your family gatherings! 🦃🎄

Scrappin’ With Joni

My 2022 Market season has ended. Our October schedule is filled with family commitments. I continue to have a supply of handmade cards for all occasions; birthdays, anniversaries, new babies, get well, retirement, sympathy. Sending a handmade card is a great way to say “I care”. I also have the journals, notepads and gift card holders that are so popular at my Market table. You can email me to arrange local pickup or arrange to have items shipped to you.
Thank you for your support of my business in the 2022 Market season. ~Joni
