Hello MP Market Goers!

Curious as to when the outdoor market ends? This Saturday is the “official” last market of the season. However, we’ll continue the outdoor season through October as long as it stays warm enough. If it turns cold, we’ll be moving indoors! Stay tuned for more information.

🎉Congratulations to Kelly Bull, winner of this season’s final market basket drawing!🎉

It’s Art Tour weekend and our last “official” market of the season this Saturday! Join us and stock up on meat for your freezer and the last veggies of the season.

Are you someone who eeks in one final grilling before the weather turns to snow or do you grill year round? If you’re either of these be sure to grab some steaks (or chicken) and some grill worthy veggies Saturday and try this recipe out!

Here is a partial list of items at this week’s market:

Beef, Pork, Bacon, Chicken, Eggs, Cheese, Artisan Breads, Coffee, Sweet and Savory Baked Goods, Peppers, Eggplants, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Winter Squash, Curly Kale, Lettuce Heads, Arugula, Salad Mix, Endive, Spinach, Leeks, Shallots, Onions, Thyme, Sage, Soups, Chili Starter, Pasta Sauce, BBQ Sauce, & Jams / Jellies, and much more. James Pine Valley Farm

We hope everyone has had a chance to enjoy these beautiful Fall days. Of course we know these days will lead to coooooler ones which will then be time to get out the crockpot and cook up that first pot of chicken soup. We will have whole chickens on hand this week as well as chicken heart and liver packages and chicken neck packages. A few dozen eggs and several varieties of cheese from Hooks Cheese Company will also be available. See you Saturday. Mary Jean, James Pine Valley Farm

King’s Hill Farm

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to make it to market Saturday. Our one full-time employee blew out his back, and Matt has to go out of town Fri – Mon, so I need to spend the weekend playing a little catch up on some stuff and get ahead on some harvests for next week.
Best, Julia & Matt

Marr’s Valley View Farms

Mother Nature’s colors are absolutely beautiful right now – hopefully you can get out and enjoy them because it won’t be long they will be gone for another year. The same is true of the Mineral Point Market.
This is it – the last OFFICIAL week of the Mineral Point Market and as with Summer, brats are pretty much gone as well. We have a few packages left so place your pre-order on our website marrsvvfmeats.com for pickup Saturday and ensure you don’t miss out until they return in 2023.
How To Purchase Meat After Market Ends
We’d like to share with you how you can purchase our meat products year round for you and your family to enjoy.
Are you a week to week shopper? We have you covered – just select your favorite way to shop below and we’ll take care of you:
1. The best way to know what products are in stock and to purchase them is through our website – marrsvvfmeats.com. Once on the website, create your account (if you don’t already have one) selecting Valley View Farms as your Default Location for pickup. You need to have an account to place your orders. You can then see what products are available and the prices. After placing your order, you will receive an ‘estimate’ total – once your order is packed you will receive an email with the actual total due. Placing your order on the website is the best because there is no back and forth discussion about what is available, pricing etc.
2. Next best way is to email your order to us at marrsvvfmeats@gmail.com.
3. Lastly, call or text your order to 608-574-2899.
Want to stock up for the Winter ahead?
Fall is typically time to stock our freezers with our Farm Fresh Meats for the cold winter months ahead. We are now taking reservations for 1/2 hogs, whole hogs and 1/4 beef for November. Email marrsvvfmeats@gmail.com by Friday, October 21st if interested.
Think CHRISTMAS GIFTS for those that have everything with our November or December processing. Not sure? Give a Marr’s Valley View Farms Gift Certificate. It’s never too early to check that off your list!
See you Saturday under the Water Tower. All of us at Marr’s Valley View Farms

Scrappin’ With Joni

My 2022 Market season has ended. Our October schedule is filled with family commitments. I continue to have a supply of handmade cards for all occasions; birthdays, anniversaries, new babies, get well, retirement, sympathy. Sending a handmade card is a great way to say “I care”. I also have the journals, notepads and gift card holders that are so popular at my Market table. You can email me to arrange local pickup or arrange to have items shipped to you.
Thank you for your support of my business in the 2022 Market season. ~Joni

Shooting Star Farm

We’ve had such a beautiful fall this year – pleasant weather to work outdoors, beautiful trees, and finally a bit of rain! I finally got a light frost Saturday morning. Cold hardy plants are doing well, but the peppers and eggplants are coming to an end tomorrow night. Lots of good produce is still available. Here’s what I hope to harvest: a variety of peppers, small eggplants, gorgeous broccoli, purple cauliflower, green cabbage, napa cabbage, 4 types of winter squash, beautiful curly kale, lettuce heads, arugula, salad mix, endive, a small amount of spinach, leeks, shallots, yellow onions, thyme and sage. Pre-order for Market pick-up here.  Join us for a frosty (but sunny!), fall morning. See you Saturday!

Spensley Farm

Thank you to all of our customers that came out to the market. We are sorry that Saturday was our last in-person market for the season. The good news is that you can still order our seasonal menu via our website. We are happy to deliver to the 53565 area, or you can stop by the farm to pick it up. I’m already planning for the 2023 summer! Nicole & Steven Bujewski – Spensley Farm
