Hello MP Market Goers!

Curious as to when the outdoor market ends? We’ll continue the outdoor season through October as long as it stays warm enough. If it turns cold, we’ll be moving indoors! Stay tuned for more information.

We’re in luck this week because although it’s gotten quite cold in some areas, many crops are hanging on for us to enjoy for another week! Plus, since it is colder out we can again heat the house up by using our ovens.

Here’s some tricks and recipes for roasting up delicious veggies this fall!

Here is a partial list of items at this week’s market:

Beef, Pork, Bacon, Chicken, Eggs, Cheese, Artisan Breads, Coffee, Sweet and Savory Baked Goods, Sweet & Hot Peppers, Eggplants, Roma Tomatoes, Broccoli, Green Cabbage, Winter Squash, Curly Kale, Onions, Shallots, Leeks, Scallions, Celery, Carrots, Beets, Thyme, Sage, Spinach, Salad Mix, Baby Arugula, Endive, Baby Lettuce Heads, Garlic, Soups, Chili Starter, Pasta Sauce, BBQ Sauce, & Jams / Jellies, Artisan Wood Products, Fall Annual Plants, and much more. Come and check it all out!

We look forward to seeing you this Saturday in Water Tower Park, Business Hwy 151 at Madison Street, Mineral Point! 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.

Marr’s Valley View Farms

Mother Nature’s colors are absolutely beautiful right now – hopefully you can get out and enjoy them because it won’t be long they will be gone for another year. The same is true of the Mineral Point Market, 2 weeks left until the end of the ‘official’ MP Market. After that we go week by week in October based on the weather, so watch your email and social media for weekly updates.
As with Summer, brats are pretty much gone as well. We have a few packages left so place your pre-order on our website marrsvvfmeats.com to ensure you don’t miss out until they return in 2023.
Fall is typically time to stock our freezers with farm fresh meats for the cold winter months ahead. We are now taking reservations for 1/2 hogs, whole hogs and 1/4 beef for November processing. They also make PERFECT Christmas gifts for your loved ones. Email marrsvvfmeats@gmail.com by Friday, October 21st if interested.
Remember, when you dine on Marr’s Valley View Farms meats, rest assured you are eating naturally lean meats – fresh beef and pork products direct from local farms to you. See you soon, all of us at Marr’s Valley View Farms.

Over the Moon Soap Co

Over The Moon Soap will not be at market the rest of the season.
Their Soap and Shampoo Bars are available by contacting Yvonne on her Facebook page, or by emailing overthemoonsoapco@gmail.com.
Orders can be picked up at their home in Dodgeville any time! And they also offer delivery on certain days to the city of MP and Dodgeville.
Watch for a separate Over The Moon Soap Facebook page with a list of the soaps available for purchase, and how to order.
Also watch for posts on the MP Community Page for updates on product and a list of Fall and Holiday Vendor events they will be attending.
Yvonne and Pat thank you for your continued support of Over The Moon Soaps and look forward to seeing you around the area.
Sincerely,
The McIntyres

Scrappin’ With Joni

My 2022 Market season has ended. Our October schedule is filled with family commitments. I continue to have a supply of handmade cards for all occasions; birthdays, anniversaries, new babies, get well, retirement, sympathy. Sending a handmade card is a great way to say “I care”. I also have the journals, notepads and gift card holders that are so popular at my Market table. You can email me to arrange local pickup or arrange to have items shipped to you.
Thank you for your support of my business in the 2022 Market season. ~Joni

Shooting Star Farm

My fields were mostly spared from frost last Thursday morning, so I will still have peppers, small eggplants, and some roma tomatoes this Saturday. A bit more summer… Also, lots of fall with gorgeous broccoli, green cabbage, 4 types of winter squash, beautiful curly kale, onions, shallots, leeks, scallions, celery, carrots, mixed bunched beets, and thyme and sage. I will have a very limited amount of spinach along with salad mix, baby arugula, endive, and baby lettuce heads. Peppers will include multi-color bell types along with bright red and orange sweet frying peppers, shishito peppers, and jalapeno peppers. Pre-order for Market pick-up here.  Join us for a frosty (but sunny!), fall morning. See you Saturday!

Spensley Farm

Thank you to all of our customers that came out to the market. We are sorry that Saturday was our last in-person market for the season. The good news is that you can still order our seasonal menu via our website. We are happy to deliver to the 53565 area, or you can stop by the farm to pick it up. I’m already planning for the 2023 summer! Nicole & Steven Bujewski – Spensley Farm

Sweet Earth Garden and Vintage China

I am sorry to say that last week was our last market… The flowers are dwindling and we are expecting a hard frost this weekend and I must lift my tubers and bulbs before that happens. I would like to thank all of our wonderful patrons who are so enthusiastic and supportive. Thank you also to all the other vendors who are so cheerful, hardworking and such great comrades. I will miss our Saturday mornings together. Especially thank you to our diligent leaders, Kathy and Jenny for their especially hard work ! They are awesome! Thank you again and warmest wishes for a healthy, safe and exciting fall and winter. See you all next Spring,
