Just Poured Candle Co.

My name is Holly Adams, and I created Just Poured Candle Co. in 2022 with the support of my family and husband David, a Mineral Point native. Why? Well, I love candles and I love to make things. As a full-time caregiver for my husband, who suffered a C4 spinal cord injury and stroke in 2016, I found candle making as a creative outlet to help relieve everyday stress and fulfill a passion.
My mission is simple. Provide hand-crafted, non-toxic candles that add warmth and inspiration to any room. All my candles are made from 100% soy wax, from soybeans grown in the United States. I also do not use any dyes or additives, and only high-quality fragrance oils that do not contain parabens or phthalates. In addition to making candles, I make several other all natural products as well. Some of my other products include room sprays, bug & tick repellent, and lip balm.
Mineral Point Market Dates: May 13th , June 10th , July 8th , August 12th , & September 9th

Magic Light Photography

It’s been a while since I have been a vendor at the Market, but I’m happy to be back, at least for a limited time. Since moving to our little farm just outside of Mineral Point a couple of years ago, I have been very busy with new hobbies. I have started keeping bees, raising chickens for both meat and eggs, as well as helping my wife raise a few goats, two dogs, a cat and of course our two boys! Another hobby I started last year was making maple syrup. This spring I collected over 260 gallons of sap from the trees on our farm and boiled it down, using a homemade wood stove, into a little over 6 1/2 gallons of maple syrup that I will be bringing to the market this weekend. I have also had a few people ask me about my photo cards and I’m happy to say they are still available and I am planning on bringing them to the market this weekend as well. The weather looks great for Saturday so I hope to see you under the water tower!
Thanks,
Mike

Shooting Star Farm

Oh my goodness, it’s May! How did that happen? It’s been a weather rollercoaster these past few months, with more low temperature dips than highs, but it looks to be a gorgeous Saturday for the first Mineral Point Market. I will have some fresh vegetables from the hoophouse including salad mix, baby arugula, bok choy, red and French breakfast radishes, and salad turnips. Head lettuce and rhubarb need another week, although I may also have a few odds and ends in addition to the list. Come see what’s on the table! In addition to veggies, I have tomato and pepper transplants for sale again this year beginning May 12th. If you’d like to reserve plants, you can order at my website and indicate your preferred Friday or Saturday pick-up date. If you only need a few plants, I will have a nice variety at Market beginning May 13th (weather permitting). Want to pre-order veggies for Market pick-up? You can do so here. Ordering is open from 6pm Wednesday until 6pm Thursday. Order minimum is $15.00 this year. Boxing takes us extra time, and I’d like to keep it a free service, so please shop the market if you just need a few things. Thanks and see you Saturday!!
