Wisconsin has been it’s usual self lately, bouncing from one extreme to the next🥵🥶☔. Last week we we’re pulling out the grill, this week it’s been about roasts and pulling out the crock pot.
💕 Marr’s Valley View Farms and CSA’s longtime family favorite recipe is Lazy Daisy Meatballs, which originally came to them through Mike’s mother-in-law.
⭐The best part is they are super simple to make, affordable and everyone loves them!
👉 Stop up at market Saturday from 8:30-11a to grab what you need to make something new and delicious!😋
Lazy Daisy Meatballs
1# Marr’s Valley View Farms ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup water
2 Tbsp grated onion or dry onion soup mix
1/2 cup crushed saltine crackers
10 1/2 oz can of cream of mushroom soup
1/8 tsp each of pepper, celery salt, nutmeg, & garlic powder
Mix meat, seasonings, crushed crackers, water and onion. Form into 24 small balls and brown in a large pan. Mix soup with water and pour over the meat balls. Cover and simmer about 30 minutes. Serve them as an app or over Wisconsin potatoes as a meal. Keep warm in a crock pot for serving if needed.
Note: beef gravy can be substituted for mushroom soup if you prefer.
Need other recipe ideas? Just ask a vendor, they have lots of ideas and are happy to help you try something new or just different.

May is National Beef Month, National Hamburger Month AND National BBQ Month. It’s a perfect trio, with Memorial Day at the end of the month and many of us barbecue burgers on this day. From the farmers and ranchers to the processors, thousands of Americans play an integral role in the journey of beef from the field to the market. Let’s celebrate their hard work and achievements by buying Beef, lots of it, this month, and every month throughout the year.
