Shooting Star Farm

Thanks to everyone for such a great first Market! What a great day. This weekā€™s weather couldnā€™t be more different from last. Gone is the down coat ā€“ or coats of any kind. My work progress has been vastly slowed.. I needed more time to adapt! The heat does mean that plants are finally popping, but a handful of ridiculously hot days hasnā€™t quite made up for the weeks of chill. My produce selection for Saturday will likely be quite similar to last weekā€™s: Salad turnips, red and French breakfast radishes, solid heads of baby bok choy, baby arugula, salad mix, and spinach (a smaller-leafed variety than last week). I may have some kale and baby lettuce heads, but itā€™s hard to tell on Wednesday how much things will grow by Friday. Also, pick up your tomato transplants! I have a nice selection of heirloom, red, roma, and cherry types, plus a limited supply of peppers, eggplant, and basil starts. Descriptions for tomatoes are on my website here. Scroll to the bottom and click the plant description link. This is also where you can pre-order for market pickup until 6pm Thursday evening (or sell-out). I always have produce available at Market as well as for pre-order, so if you miss out, just come to the Market. See you there Saturday!
