Shooting Star Farm
It’s been a bit of a scorcher this past week. I’ve had very little rain here, far less than in town, and with the unrelenting sun, things are getting pretty cooked! Thank goodness I have decent irrigation and a relatively small area to water. Sprinklers and drip irrigation have been going non-stop. Heat aside, I will have a reasonably good supply of produce this weekend. First the missing items: no head lettuce, zucchini, or cucumbers. I just happened to have a big gap between lettuce plantings, the first crops of zukes and cukes are done and I’m waiting on a later planting. But I will have salad mix, possibly spinach as well, a new crop of Lacinato and curly kale that looks great, bunched and bulk beets, green beans, green, red, orange, and lime/green sweet peppers, jalapeno and fresno hot peppers, fennel, scallions, onions, basil, dill, sage, a bit of eggplant, arugula, lots of tomatoes in all shapes and sizes, and possibly a few items I am forgetting! If you’d like to pre-order for Market pickup, you may do so beginning at 6pm Wednesday evening through 7pm Thursday evening. Here’s the link, www.shootingstarfarmwi.com. See you Saturday!

Sunny Side Down
Sunny Side Down will be back at markets this weekend! We are bringing back all our bread varieties and highly recommend pre-ordering for bread and pies as these sell out fast at the market! Looking for a specific Artisan Pie? We can do it! Message us on Facebook or email us at sunnysidedownllc@gmail.com by Friday at Noon.
Also – our Garlic & Herbs Pasta Sauce is BACK along with fresh stock of Salsa Verde!
See you Saturday!

Sweet Earth Garden and Vintage China
Sweet Earth gardens will be at the market this week. The hot humid weather seems to agree with the flowers. We will have Gerberas, Alliums, Dahlias, Sunflowers, Lisianthus, Zinnias, Coneflowers, Celosia, Cosmos, Antolonias, Gladiolas, Rudbeckia, Verbenas Foxglove and Yarrows. Hope to see you Saturday! Barbara

Two Onion Farm
Hello! Juli is excited to join Mineral Point Farmers’ Market with delicious organic apples, applesauce and apple butter this Saturday. Our farm is 10 minutes from the market by Belmont. Our apple varieties offer diverse flavors and textures that you won’t find in the supermarket. We’ve selected these varieties because they taste great and because they are naturally resistant to diseases. Our applesauce and apple butter are cooked from organic apples grown in our orchard and seasoned gently with spices. We add no sugar. Our apple butter is delicious served with cheese and crackers or spread on toast, bread, and pancakes. Do you like to make your own applesauce? We have slightly-blemished apples for sale at a discounted price ($1.45/lb for orders up to 100 lbs; $1.25/lb for 100-250 lbs, $1.05/lb for 250+ lbs). These are perfect for baking, making applesauce, drying, or juicing. Email twoonionfarm@gmail.com to place an order in 5# increments. Juli will be at the market 4 times this fall: 8/29, 9/12, 9/26 and 10/10. Please specify the date you’d like to pick up the processing apples. Visit our website to learn more about us!
