Bures Berry Patch
Unfortunately, we’re busy on the farm this weekend and can’t get away to come to market. However, we are open at the Patch Thursday-Sunday from 10-5. And raspberries are still coming in strong and there should be plenty available at the Patch this weekend! If you’re looking to freeze some, now would be the time to pre-order an 8 pint pail! We’re all ship-shape down here again! This week, we’ll ALL be headed up to see you! Yes – even that hard to catch a glimpse of Brian! He’s chauffering us to market this week – and friends – at 10 a.m. – we will be heading out. We’ll be headed East to the World Dairy Expo. So, if you do plan to head out for baked goods, please think about pre-ordering and plan accordingly for pick-up. This is a very special tradition for our family, and with Brian along, we will no doubt be on time!
This week, we will have the following:
Scones: bacon apricot, lemon blueberry, cheddar onion dill, pear cardamon.
Muffins: pear oat, apple cinnamon, lemon blueberry, banana chocolate chip.
Bars and Treats: apple blondies (A New Fan Favorite!!), cherry coffeecake, gingerbread, carmelitas.
Sweet Rolls: cinnamon and orange cream. Also fruit Danish!
We will also have Pies! How about classic Apple, strawberry rhubarb, peach and blueberry peach?!?! We’ll have Apple Cider Donuts as well as cookies.

Another successful market last Saturday and thank you to all who continue to support our local vendors here at the market. We will have our usual products this week. Our farm raised chicken – whole packages, leg/thigh packages and breast packages. I am out of half packages but will have more in a few weeks. Several varieties of cheese from Hooks Cheese Co. will be available as well as baked cheese and cheese pizza crust from Brunkow Cheese Co. Also a few dozen eggs. See you at the market. Holy Cow! – How did it get to be October?! Although there’s no frost in the forecast, fall chores have begun. We’ve been gathering the remaining winter squash, seeding the last of the fall cover crops, pulling fence posts from the tomato trellises, and rolling up landscape fabric to store for next season. All while harvesting. Here’s the expected list for this weekend: salad mix, arugula, spinach, colorful sweet bell and frying peppers, shishito peppers, hot jalapeno, poblano, and Anaheim peppers, Kossak kohlrabi, delicata and honey nut winter squash, multi-color beets, celery, carrots, yellow and red onions, shallots, radishes, scallions, Swiss chard, kale, parsley, sage, dill, green cabbage, a few tomatoes including cherry, roma, and heirlooms, and possibly some other odds and ends. Remember you can preorder for Market pickup from 6pm Wednesday evening until 7pm Thursday. Order here. See you Saturday!
