Just Poured Candle Co.
My name is Holly Adams, and I created Just Poured Candle Co. in 2022 with the support of my family and husband David, a Mineral Point native. Why? Well, I love candles and I love to make things. As a full-time caregiver for my husband, who suffered a C4 spinal cord injury and stroke in 2016, I found candle making as a creative outlet to help relieve everyday stress and fulfill a passion.
My mission is simple. Provide hand-crafted, non-toxic candles that add warmth and inspiration to any room. All my candles are made from 100% soy wax, from soybeans grown in the United States. I also do not use any dyes or additives, and only high-quality fragrance oils that do not contain parabens or phthalates.
In addition to making candles, I make several other all natural products as well. Some of my other products include room sprays, bug and tick repellent, and lip balm.
I’ll be at market again on September 7th

I hope everyone was able to stay cool during the heat wave we had this week. The kids and I were able to avoid it by spending the week in the Black Hills of South Dakota. In fact we are still here as I type this update. My attendance at the market is still unknown as I’m not sure when we will be home. If we make it home on Friday, I will be at the market with our farm fresh eggs and local, raw and unfiltered honey.
Thanks,
Mike

Whew. Glad we’re done with that heat! It hasn’t been good for anything on my farm, including humans! Let’s just get right on to the crops I aim to harvest for Saturday. In the pepper category, I’ll have red and orange sweet frying peppers, green and yellow bell peppers, delicious colorful snacking peppers, jalapenos, poblanos, and shishito peppers. Eggplant has slowed down, but I should have some Turkish and a few small Italian fruits. In the salad greens department arugula and salad mix will be available along with a limited selection of head lettuce. For cooking greens I’ll have two types of kale along with Swiss chard. Roma, heirloom, cherry, red, and saladette tomatoes look good, and I’ll also have tomatillos for you salsa verde lovers. Other veggies include cabbage, zucchini, beets, fennel, possibly some yellow onions and leeks, and lots of fresh herbs. No green beans this week – maybe next. See you Saturday!
