Open Saturdays 8:30-11am in Watertower Park

Hello MP Market Goers!

This is it folks, we’re already beginning the transition from spring to summer! And it’s starting with Hook’s Corner Greenhouse and Bures Berry Patch.

Hook’s spring flower season is coming to an end. If you still need/want some flowers to brighten up your yard, be sure to check out their season end clearance prices this week at market.

And while Bures Berry Patch’s asparagus season is winding down, they’ll still have a good supply yet this Saturday. Did you know that once the stalks begin to be pencil thin that you should stop picking for the season, otherwise you’ll stress your plants out for next year?

Here is a partial list of items at this week’s market:

Beef, Pork, Chicken, Bacon, Brats, Burgers, Eggs, Cheese, Artisan Breads, Coffee, Sweet and Savory Baked Goods, Arugula, Bunched Beets, Kohlrabi, Lettuce Heads, Sprouting Broccoli, Kale, Dill, Cilantro, Green Garlic, Rhubarb, Asparagus, Pickles, Jams, Honey, Syrup, Vegetable & Herb Starts, Bedding Plants & Hanging Baskets, Fresh Cut Flowers, Water Color Pencil Drawings, Handwoven Rugs and Weavings, Handmade Goat Milk Soap, and much more. Come and check it all out!

We look forward to seeing you this Saturday in Water Tower Park, Business Hwy 151 at Madison Street, Mineral Point! 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.

James Pine Valley Farm attended their last market just before Memorial Day, but do not fear as our sister- in- law and brother- in- law are taking over our spot at the market with all the same delicious products we have offered in the past. Magic Light Photography
Hello Market goers! I hope everyone enjoyed the long Memorial Day weekend. I know I did! Thank you to everyone who came out to the market to support all of the local vendors! By the end of last week’s market, I was completely sold out of everything that I brought! But if you need eggs, don’t worry. Our hens have been busy restocking us with eggs for this week’s market. I’m completely out of honey for the time being, but I hope to have more later this summer. I added honey supers this week and if the weather cooperates, the bees should be busy filling them up. I plan on being at the market once again this week with our farm fresh chicken and duck eggs. We currently only have 5 laying ducks, so those eggs are limited to 2-3 dozen/week. So if you want duck eggs, you better come early, or message me in advance to reserve them. If you can’t make it to the market, you can always pick up eggs at the farm, or I can deliver in MP if needed.
Thanks,
Mike

Shooting Star Farm
It’s been a whirlwind week of graduation, parties, family visits, Memorial Day events, and rain. Lots of rain. Weeding and planting plans have been delayed, but it looks like we’ll have several dry days and possibly time to catch up before the next soaking. This week I’ll have some beautiful arugula, more bunched beets and some kohlrabi from the hoophouse, lots of gorgeous lettuce heads, a bit of sprouting broccoli and kale, dill, cilantro (I hope), and maybe more green garlic. Radishes and salad turnips will be another week away. You can pre-order at my website this week until 7pm Thursday evening. Future pre-ordering may be sporadic based on how much help I have on Thursday and Friday. I’ll be training a couple of enthusiastic high schoolers but am still looking for another person to help primarily with late week harvests and Saturday market. Spread the word! See you Saturday!
