Opening Day – Saturday May 1st

Scroll Down for a complete list of who will be vending this week

Hello MP Market Goers!

I’m sure like so many of our vendors you are going a little stir crazy working from home, schooling from home, and all that craziness leads to this pressing need to get out and do something! Right?
🎉Well, opening day of the Mineral Point Market is this Saturday, May 1st! Every Saturday rain or shine our vendors will be in Water Tower Park from 8:30-11 am giving you a safe opportunity to get out, shop local, buy fresh, and spend time with friends.
đŸ˜· To keep you safe our vendors will still be wearing masks and our booths will be spaced out so that you too can space out. We are asking, if you are able, to please continue to wear your mask and monitor your own social distancing.
☕ But we will be setting out the picnic tables this season so that you can enjoy your coffee and breakfast treat at the market, you can also bring your own bags this season, and hopefully the market will once again feel like the community gathering place it was pre-covid.

Still not comfortable shopping the market? Many of our vendors are continuing to offer pre-order options this season.
👉 Be sure to scroll down for vendor specific instructions on pre-ordering their products.
đŸŠș For more information on our Covid safety precautions, pre-ordering, and curbside pickup visit our covid safety page.

It’s our 26th season of the Mineral Point Market and we can’t wait to greet the community and share with you the great local products our vendors have created, grown, and raised for you and your family.

Here is a partial list of items at this week’s market:

Happy Spring Everyone and welcome back to the Market! I sure missed seeing everyone last year. There are lots of changes happening for me and my family this year, but I’m going to try to make it to as many markets as I can, starting with this week! I will have a large selection of my photo greeting cards, as well as some matted photos ready to be framed. If you have seen any of my photos on Facebook and would like a print or cards made, please feel free to email me at magiclightphotography@gmail.com and let me know what you would like. You can check out some of my latest work at https://www.facebook.com/mlp.michaeljsmith. My work does not handle moisture well, so my market schedule may change depending on the weather. Hope to see you this Saturday!

Shooting Star Farm
May Day brings Market Day! We’ve been having some lovely spring weather lately after some pretty cold days and frigid nights just last week. I’ve been busy getting the regular crops planted on time and in quantity. For this first Saturday, I will be bringing a lot of salad mix. I have a great crop of early greens in one hoophouse. I’ll also have red and French breakfast radishes, and arugula. Why not spinach? My overwintered crop in the field looked so great I didn’t plant an early crop in the hoophouse. Unfortunately the over-wintered batch was covered to keep the deer out (the electric fence was off and in disrepair). Remember those 40+mph winds not long ago? They caused the row cover to beat against the spinach leaves and make them too abraded to use. Won’t happen again next spring! A second, outdoor crop is coming along in a week or so with lots to follow. For those who enjoyed pre-ordering for Market pick-up, I am offering the option again this year. Visit my website for details and to see what’s available. The ordering window is from Wednesday 6pm through Thursday 7pm for Saturday market pick-up. Hope to see you Saturday!

Spensley Farm
Please join Spensley Farm at our first market this Saturday. We feature sweet and savory pastries, tarts, hand pies, cakes, artisan breads, and more! Visit our website at www.spensleyfarm.com to pre-order or for a sneak peek of our features or visit us on Facebook & Instagram https://www.instagram.com/spensleyfarm/
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday! Nicole & Steven Bujewski – Spensley Farm

Sweet Earth Garden & Vintage China

It will be great to see old friends and welcome new vendors and customers. Looking forward to Saturday, Barbara

Wonka’s Harvest
We anticipate our debut at market occurring sometime in July. Hope to see you at market then with eggs, honey, blackberries, roots, legumes, brassicas, greens, nightshades, herbs, allium, watermelon, and flower bouquets.

We look forward to seeing you this Saturday in Water Tower Park, Business Hwy 151 at Madison Street, Mineral Point! 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.
