Summer is officially here at market! Our tables are filling up with more and more of that delicious summer produce. In addition to all that’s been coming in the past few weeks, this week there will also be a few green beans, tomatoes, and green peppers. Can’t wait, right? Yum!

Bures Berry Patch
Thanks all who came out last Friday to our “pop-up” market! It was a hot one for sure. I don’t know about you but I love eating my way through the seasons. And we have been eating WELL! This week not only will we have the last of our sugar snap peas we also began picking our green beans this week, yum! Plus we will be digging potatoes each week now until the field is empty (Late September). You can get all this as well as our Local Honey and Pure Wisconsin Maple Syrup! Delicious! Grilling season is here so this weekend why not try a half chicken or a leg/thigh combination for a delicious meat treat to go with all those great salads you will be preparing. This week we are offering our usual items using pre-order and in person pickup the day of the market. We will also have a few extra items available for direct purchase at the market. We can also deliver your goods to your home if you live in the area. Our separate frozen chicken packages include whole, half, leg/thigh or breasts. We will also have farm fresh eggs. We have several varieties of Hooks cheese on hand including pepper jack, muenster, garlic dill jack, pesto jack, brick, baby swiss, bacon, mild and medium cheddar, Colby, marble jack, smoked cheddar, parmesan. tomato basil, triple play, blue and 2, 5, and 8 year. Also three varieties form Brunkow Cheese Company including Brun-nusto baked cheese, kalamato olive cheddar, and mushroom & onion jack. If your order includes cheese, please order by Thursday at 11;00 A.M. Place your order by noon on Friday to allow us time to process it, of course the earlier the better no need to wait until Friday.

* specify product name and desired quantity of packages – example: 1 package of Bone In Pork Chops;
* if you want a specific product size say so – 2.5 to 3 lb. Boneless Chuck Roast – otherwise we will pick for you;
* provide a phone number where you can be reached for questions;
* payment is by check only made out to Valley View Farms;
* we will e-mail or message your order total Friday night by 10:00 p.m. so you can have your check ready at pickup;
* we will set up by the curb below the visitors center – you can drive/walk up and pick up your order and drop off your check for a quick transaction.

Shooting Star Farm
Thanks to all the customers who came to the July 3rd “pop-up” Market. It was steamy and we appreciated you braving the hot afternoon to support us! It’s been awfully toasty and very dry here these past 10 days or so, but as I write this it’s absolutely pouring. Sprinklers were shut off just in time! New this weekend will be green beans – limited amounts on my first picking, but lots to come. In addition I’ll have green cabbage, big kohlrabi, possibly a few early green peppers, and a smattering of small tomatoes (just a few!). Other items include scallions, basil, parsley, curly and Lacinato kale, romaine lettuce, Swiss chard, fennel, red beets, multi-color beets, smaller kohlrabi, cucumbers, zucchini and summer squash, and some smaller carrots in 1# bags (no tops this week). I will be short on arugula for the next few weeks. And although the heat got the best of the lettuce before I got it out of the field, I should continue to have salad mix and lettuce heads, just in more limited supply. More is coming along.
