It’s been crazy busy here at the Patch. Strawberry season is in full pick now and we’ve had lots of happy customers out picking their own berries in the Patch. I know there will be plenty of amazing items for Father’s Day! Steaks for the grill, specially made cookies, great greens and veggies and such for your side salads, cheese for the appetizer tray for your cookout, dessert for after the cookout, beautiful plants to add to his gardens… The list just goes on!
This week, get your dad, uncle, grandpa, great grandpa, special neighbor, or just overall special fella in your life a Bar Box from us! A baker’s dozen of his favorite treat! These boxes will be $20, and can be all 1 variety of dessert bar, or a mix of 3 different bars. Choose from: S’mores, Maple Pecan, Chocolate Toffee, Oatmeal Fudge, Cranberry Walnut or Apricot Lemon. These will need to be ordered by 3 p.m. Friday, the same time as regular market pre-orders.

Shooting Star Farm
Spring is heading out and summer is on the way. The heat did in most of the remaining spring turnips and radishes in the field, but zucchini is almost in full force! I’ll have both green and gold varieties. Scallion bunches are also new this week. They’re terrific stir-fried with sugar snap peas. And speaking of peas, we should have a bigger quantity this week and next. The plants still look very good. Other items: big, gorgeous heads of red leaf and romaine lettuces, butter lettuce hearts, beautiful baby lettuces, endive, bunched red beets, bunched carrots, napa cabbage, field-grown kohlrabi (still really sweet and juicy), salad mix, arugula, kale, Swiss chard, and cilantro. Saturday will be beautiful day, so come and hang out for a while. If you’d like to pre-order for Market pickup, you can do so here until 7pm Thursday night. See you Saturday!
