May 23rd – Week 4

Scroll down to see individual vendor product offering  and pre-order instructions for this week’s market

Memorial Day is bound to be a bit quieter this year but no less significant. So even though there won’t be a parade on Monday we can still honor those that have been lost. We can still celebrate the life we gained from their sacrifice. In Wisconsin, that means firing up to grill some brats and maybe to be healthy throwing on some veggies as well.

Marr’s Valley View Farm is another vendor only offering pre-order for curbside pickup, no shopping their stand at market. So if you need beef or pork products for your cookout order now to get the best selection.

Most of our vendors are offering the option to either shop the market or pre-order for curbside pickup at market. Be sure to scroll down to learn who will be at market this Saturday, what they’ll be vending, and how to purchase from them.

This market will stay a safe and healthy place to shop if we all take measures to protect each other. Check out our covid safety measures to learn more. Remember, we’re in this together!

Here’s a map highlighting where curbside pickup will be taking place

To make curbside pickup even easier, please have a sign on your rear passenger side window with your FIRST and LAST name + the farms you ordered from.

Here is a partial list of items at this week’s market:

Beef, Pork, Bacon, Poultry, Cheese, Eggs, Salad Mix, Cilantro, Dill, Radishes, Lettuce Heads, Asparagus, Maple Syrup, Honey, Sweet Bread, Scones, Muffins, Cookies, Bars,  Breakfast Burritos, Artisan Bread, Coffee, Sweet and Savory Baked Goods, Jams, Soaps, Fresh Cut Flowers, Cub Scout Popcorn, and much more. Come and check it all out!

We look forward to seeing you this first Saturday of the season in Water Tower Park, Business Hwy 151 at Madison Street, Mineral Point! 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.

Shooting Star Farm

May is ending and new crops are coming in but not quite fast enough. This cool, wet weather has slowed things down. There’s so much coming along, but this week is a bit of a gap for many items. I will have salad mix, red and French breakfast radishes, small/medium heads of lettuce, cilantro, and dill. I’m out of bok choy, salad turnips, and arugula for the next week or so. Tomato and basil plants will be available again this week. They can be added to your order just like veggies. Varieties are described on my website. For those of you who ordered plants last week, please let me know if there were any mistakes or if any plants arrived damaged. I’ll make it right. Read below for a reminder on how and when to order for Saturday pick-up.
1. Pre-ordering for Market pick-up is available from Wednesday at 6pm through Thursday at 7pm or until sell-out at my website: www.shootingstarfarmwi.com.
2. You can pay with credit/debit, cash or check. Paying in advance with a card is preferred since the order system requires some extra manual attention with cash/check orders. But if you’re a cash person, that is fine, too.
3. If you need just a few items, my Market table will be stocked with some of everything, but in much smaller amounts than in the past. Please arrive between 8:30 – 9:30 for best supply.
