This weekend is all about the 4th of July! Where you’ll be, what you’ll be eating, what activity you’ll be doing.

Dusk FIREWORKS- High St (portion of High Street) will be reserved for spectators
Be prepared for all the weekend’s happenings by starting your weekend at the Mineral Point Market.
Grab your brats and burgers from Marr’s Valley View Farm, your chicken and cheese from James Pine Valley Farm, and your veggies from Shooting Star Farm, King’s Hill Farm, & Bures Berry Patch. While you’re there, grab breakfast and some treats from Cafe 43 & Farmers Daughter Bakery and Kitchen. It’s easy to be prepared when you start your weekend at the market.

It’s pea time! 😜 We’ll have sugar snap peas for 1 more week AND we’re digging baby red potatoes! Expect some of both on our table Saturday. Asparagus season has ended but we now have it pickled as well as in a frozen cream of asparagus soup. Also on our table this week will be; farm fresh eggs, locally produced jam, & pure honey! The “heavy dew” last Saturday did not keep the market goers away. We at FripperiesMP are delighted to be able to participate in this wonderful community activity. This week FripperiesMP is going back to its roots with a display of wooden accessories for the knitter and cross stitcher. Our handcrafted utilitarian wooden products for the home such as cutting boards, pastry boards, pizza peels as well as custom laser engraved plaques, signs, coasters etc. will be displayed. Grandview Garlic Farm
We are looking forward to vending, at the Mineral Point Farmers Market again this season. We will have 6 varieties of garlic this year. (Romanian Red, Persian Star, German Extra Harty, Georgian Fire, Elephant, and Northern White.) The garlic is usually cured and ready for sale about the first week in August. See you then.

Thanks to our faithful customers who enjoyed shopping in the badly needed rain showers last week. Fourth of July weekend is here so enjoy some chicken on the grill for those family gatherings. We will have leg/thigh packages, breast packages, half and whole chicken packages available. Over The Moon Soap will not be at Market this week with their Goat Milk, Shea Butter and Essential Oil Soap. Please stop by and get your favorite scents next week. Shooting Star Farm
Thanks to everyone who braved the rain and somewhat chilly temps last Saturday to come to Market. We appreciate you! This week I still have amazingly beautiful greens along with some new items. Heres’ the hopeful harvest: sugar snap peas (yay), scallions, green garlic, red and multi-color beets, bunched carrots, small kohlrabi, salad mix, baby arugula (still beautiful!), endive, red and green butter lettuces, romaine lettuce, mixed baby lettuces, Swiss chard, two types of kale, zucchini (green, gold, and striped), dill, cilantro, basil, and possible cucumbers. A nice day on Saturday – we’ll take it!! Want to reserve your order in advance? You can pre-order for Market or farm pick-up here. Ordering window is from 6pm Wednesday through 6pm Thursday.
