Open Saturday Morning, September 2nd, 8:30-11a in Water Tower Park

Scroll down to view the complete list of who will be vending this week

Our seasons are changing which means our vendors tables’ are turning over new produce each week!

✌️ things to think about:

☝️ As fall approaches, some items will no longer be available. 😲 Shooting Star Farm gave me my cue to stock up on tomatoes, peppers, & onions this week when she mentions that her Roma tomatoes are now plentiful. Market Friends, it is time to make salsa & marinara before the nights get too cold.

✌️ After these (hopefully) final few days of heat, we’ll be able to cook indoors once again. Meaning we can roast up some squash, cook a roast all day with potatoes & onions, and in general enjoy the comforting flavors of fall.

So, while the Fair is in town this weekend (best of luck to all competing) be sure to stop up to market Saturday and welcome the beginning flavors of fall but don’t forget to stock up on the flavors of summer as well because nothing beats going into your pantry/freezer/cellar and pulling out a little bit of summer in the middle of a Wisconsin winter.

Don’t forget, if you play an instrument or sing, we’d love to have you at the market! There are still spots left to be filled.  For more info or to sign up head here: Music at Market .🎹🎺🎻🎸

Here is a partial list of items at this week’s market:

Beef, Pork, Chicken, Bacon, Brats, Burgers, Eggs, Cheese, Artisan Breads, Coffee, Sweet and Savory Baked Goods, Aronia Berries, Raspberries, Potatoes, Winter Squash, Tomatoes of every size, shape, & color, Arugula, Salad Mix, Sweet & Spicy Peppers, Tomatillos, Kale, Cabbage, Eggplant, Cucumbers, Zucchini, Beets, Celery, Onions, Swiss chard, Beans, Amaranth Greens, Salad Turnips, Garlic, Fresh Herbs, Soup, Honey, Pickles, Artistic Drawings & Engraved Items, Fresh Cut Flowers, Fall Mums & House Plants, Handmade Rugs, Tamales, Salsa, Guacamole, and much more. Come and check it all out!

We look forward to seeing you this Saturday in Water Tower Park, Business Hwy 151 at Madison Street, Mineral Point! 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.

Barham Gardens

It’s aronia season! We’ll have fresh berries this Saturday at market. I will also have the handwoven rugs and Sheepskin Weavings. My husband, Kim, and I currently grow Aronia (chokeberries) on an acre plot. We are enthusiastic about this native berry which is a valuable early season food for bees, and once mature (late August through early September), they are good for humans as well, containing numerous health benefits. (We will have brochures at the market with more detailed information and starter recipes.) Roberta uses them in Aronia Applesauce and Aronia Rhubarb jam (which is very delicious) which she will vend at the market while quantities last. Recipe books are also available. More information can be found at our website.
Additionally, Roberta hand weaves rag and fleece rugs and weavings, saving much from entering the waste stream and allowing another functional and practical life. More information about these products can be found here. She also fashions felted accessories.

Bures Berry Patch

Fall is working it’s way into the Patch! The raspberry patch is slowly becoming more red and we’re beginning to harvest some of our winter squash! This week we’ll have raspberries, squash (acorn, butternut, delicata, spaghetti), freshly dug potatoes, sunflowers, farm fresh eggs, dilly beans, honey, and frozen asparagus soup. Can’t make it to market? We’re open at the Patch daily from 9-6p. For more information, head to our website, Facebook, or Instagram account, or give us a call at 608-924-1404. Just Poured Candle Co.

We’re back Saturday, September 9th! My name is Holly Adams, and I created Just Poured Candle Co. in 2022 with the support of my family and husband David, a Mineral Point native. Why? Well, I love candles and I love to make things. As a full-time caregiver for my husband, who suffered a C4 spinal cord injury and stroke in 2016, I found candle making as a creative outlet to help relieve everyday stress and fulfill a passion.
My mission is simple. Provide hand-crafted, non-toxic candles that add warmth and inspiration to any room. All my candles are made from 100% soy wax, from soybeans grown in the United States. I also do not use any dyes or additives, and only high-quality fragrance oils that do not contain parabens or phthalates. In addition to making candles, I make several other all natural products as well. Some of my other products include room sprays, bug & tick repellent, and lip balm.
Mineral Point Market Dates: June 10th , July 8th , August 12th , & September 9th

Baby afghans are the perfect gift for a baby shower. We have full-sized afghans, lap-covers and all things warm and cozy. We have ponchos, which are great gifts for birthdays or just for fun! Also selling cotton-blend washcloths/dishcloths. Working on stocking caps and scarves for the cool weather around the corner. See you later in September. Find me on Facebook, Love & Hugs From Lauri.

Magic Light Photography

Labor Day weekend is my favorite holiday of the year! The Iowa County Fair is in town, the weather is cooling off, windows are open with a cool refreshing breeze. All signs that fall is just around the corner! This is also the time when the the last of the flowers start to die off and honey production slow down and the beekeepers start to harvest that delicious fall liquid gold! I will be at the market this week with my raw, local honey harvested from our little farm. I have half pound, 1 pound, pint and quart jars available. My honey is not filtered and never heated so all of the good stuff you want in your honey is still there! I will also have my photo greeting cards available. All of my cards are blank inside, so they are perfect for any occasion. Hope to see you under the water tower this weekend!
Thanks,
Mike

Preston Creek Soapery – Julia Sheppard – Mineral Point

I’ll be back September 23rd! Preston Creek Soapery was founded in 2017 when I started to make handmade soap as a way to funnel my creative energy and calm my sensitive skin. I really enjoy formulating and making small batch vegan soap and shampoo bars, which progressed into making bath and foot soaks, bath bombs, whipped body butter and soap dishes. From day one on my soaping journey, as a vegetarian I chose to make vegan, palm free products. I use high quality skin loving ingredients such as oils, butters, coconut milk, clays, colloidal oatmeal and aloe. I live in Mineral Point with my husband Jeremy on our alpaca farm. Breeding and raising alpacas is a complete joy! In the future I hope to bring my alpaca yarn to the market. I’m so excited to meet you all on the following Saturday mornings: August 26th, September 23rd and October 7th.

Shooting Star Farm

This summer is flying by! Hard to believe Labor Day weekend and Iowa County Fair season are here. Before you head off for your weekend activities, stop by the market and stock up. I will not have any lettuce heads this week. I blame the drought, wind, and heat back 5-6 weeks ago for losing large percentages of my plantings. However, I will have some arugula, and a small amount of salad mix – mostly spicy greens with a bit of lettuce this week. Plus lots of great summer produce including jalapenos, poblanos, green bell peppers, mini red/orange snacking peppers, shishito peppers; tomatoes including red, saladette, cherry, and heirloom (heirlooms are almost done); lots of roma tomatoes (tons just starting to come in!); plus tomatillos, Italian and Japanese eggplant, cucumbers, zucchini, red and gold beets, celery, white and Italian bottle onions, Swiss chard, beans, amaranth greens (callaloo), a few bunches of salad turnips (go figure), basil, cilantro, parsley, and dill. You can pre-order for market pick-up at my website. See you all Saturday!
