Farmer’s Daughter Bakery and Kitchen

Hello market friends!
Phew! What a mild winter and kinda weird spring, eh? But hey – the warmer weather looks to be here! Softball, soccer, and more softball is here as well keeping us busy off the farm, and the animals and lots of custom orders keep me busy on the farm. We’ll see you all once a month this year, much like the last. We’ll start our market season in with you all tentatively May 25th. So, if you are in need of some treats for that “start to summer backyard BBQ”; don’t forget about our Grazing Trays and pies! Graduations are going to be here, too, and we’re getting busy with cakes and cupcakes, but there’s still room for more! You can place your order on Facebook and send us a message, send us an email at farmgalsbake@yahoo.com or send us a text message at 608-214-3475.
Stay safe out there, and take care! We’ll see you all soon!

James Pine Valley Farm

Hello market goers. We have had two beautiful Saturdays for our first markets and looks like this Saturday will follow suit. We will have whole chickens, whole cut-up chickens and a few half chicken packages, a few dozen eggs and lots of varieties of Hooks famous cheese. As some of you know we are retiring from the business of raising meat chickens. But, on a good note, our brother and sister-in law will be taking our place at the market with the same quality products we have offered in the past. Jennifer has been coming to the market to assist me and meet everyone. See you Saturday. Mary Jean, Pine Valley Farm

Over The Moon Soap Company, LLC

Yvonne and Patrick McIntyre with Over The Moon Soap Company are excited to bring their handmade Goat Milk Soaps, Shampoo Bars and Bath Accessories to the Mineral Point Market again this year! They will be back on the FIRST SATURDAY of each month throughout the season.
They offer 16 unique bar soap scents with something for both men and women, along with four shampoo bars. If you haven’t tried their luxurious soaps yet, you need to give them a try. It’s especially great for those with issues such as eczema as goat milk and shea butter, as well as essential oils, all contain wonderful natural healing properties.
Yvonne began making the soap for herself to soothe her dry skin. Then she gifted soaps to family, friends and co-workers for birthdays, etc, and from there, it has blossomed into a small business. She is so glad to share this wonderful soap with you!
If you can’t make it to market, and wish to purchase their soaps, just contact them via email at overthemoonsoapco@gmail.com. Or message through Yvonne’s Facebook page; or text/phone 608-574-5458 and they’ll be happy to take your order at any time. They offer porch pick up at their Dodgeville home along with several options for payment. They also will make occasional deliveries to Mineral Point.
Yvonne and Pat hope to see you at market soon!

PJ’s Poultry

PJ’s Poultry will not be at the market this week, to sell any items. Jennifer will be there with Mary Jean James from Pine Valley Farm handing out business cards and “learning the ropes”. The plan is for PJ’s Poultry to take over the chicken and egg sales once Pine Valley Farms runs out of their chicken, as they will be retiring from the business of raising meat chickens.
Thanks,
Perry Baker

Saving Grace Cat Rescue
Hello Mineral Point market goers! We are huge fans of Saturday mornings at the MP market and we are excited to be a part of the fun this season. Saving Grace Cat Rescue will be present to share information about our rescue efforts and to collect donations. We will also have t-shirts and art for sale to raise money for our non profit. We are looking forward to a great season!

Shooting Star Farm
It’s been busy on the farm. We finally put in our hoophouse tomatoes, some zucchini, and plan to start on the outdoor peppers this week. I usually don’t put peppers in until late May, so fingers crossed there’s no late frost. This week at Market I’ll continue to have a lot of the same items: spinach, salad mix, arugula, some red and French breakfast radishes, salad turnips, baby bok choy, mini lettuce heads, possibly some larger lettuce heads, a little sprouting broccoli, and green garlic bunches. Green garlic is the entire plant which is completely edible – leaves and all. I’ll continue to bring a selection of tomato, pepper, and herb plants this Saturday. You can pre-order for Market pick-up at my website from 8am Wednesday until 5pm Thursday. See you Saturday!
