Hello MP Market Goers!

Did anyone notice a new vendor last week in the park? We are so happy to introduce you to The Cornish Baker!

They are a mother/daughter baking team with Cornish Heritage and they specialize in Cornish tea biscuits, figgy hobbin, fruit pies, assorted cookies (including Cornish Fairings-soft molasses ginger cookies), Texas sized muffins and sweet breads.

   

They’ve been baking for many years now and can’t wait to share their love of baking with you! Check out their table this week and introduce yourself!

It’s green beans season for just a bit longer. Want to get your kids to eat green beans? Pickle them! Just 5 pounds of beans will get you 10 pint jars of dilly beans! Pre-order 10 or more pounds for a 25% discount (608-924-1404). Yeah🎉! This week we’ll have green beans, baby reds and German butterballs potatoes.  We continue to get rave reviews on our frozen cream of asparagus soup 🥣, but we anticipate being sold out within the month. Don’t miss out, when it’s gone…it’s gone. Also on our table this week will be; sunflowers 🌻, farm fresh eggs 🥚, our very own dilly beans (in case you’re not interested in making your own), locally produced jam, pure honey 🍯 & maybe, just maybe…sweet corn 🤞🌽! The Cornish Baker

We are a mother and daughter baking team with Cornish Heritage specializing in Cornish tea biscuits, figgy hobbin, fruit pies, assorted cookies, (including Cornish Fairings-soft molasses ginger cookies), Texas sized muffins and sweet breads.
We are blessed to be able to bake in house under Wisconsin’s Cookie Bill, and bring some of our Cornish and other baked goods to market. We have been baking for many years and have decided to share them with you!
If our first few weeks at the Mineral Point Market are well received we will expand to include pre-orders and a Facebook page with market day pickup.
We will be featuring Door County Cherry and Maine Blueberry hand pies, full size fruit pies, Cornish Tea Biscuits, Figgy Hobbin, Cornish Fairings (soft gingersnaps), Farmer Brownies, Texas sized lemon poppyseed, raspberry and white chocolate, chocolate chip and blueberry muffins!

Farmers Daughter Bakery and Kitchen

Hi market friends.
This week, I’ll be home resting and soaking in my Ocrevus infusion. This is my second treatment to help manage my multiple sclerosis symptoms.
It takes about 6 hours, and, it is The Best Nap EVER!! But -whoo- does it knock me out for a few days. I’ll be back in the kitchen and ready to go next week!

Grandview Garlic Farm

We are looking forward to vending, at the Mineral Point Farmers Market again this season. We will have 6 varieties of garlic this year. (Romanian Red, Persian Star, German Extra Harty, Georgian Fire, Elephant, and Northern White.) The garlic is usually cured and ready for sale about the first week in August. See you then.

Hey MP Market Supporters. I may or may not be at the market this week as I will possibly be watching my granddaughters show cattle at the State Fair. King’s Hill Farm

King’s Hill Farm will be at market on Saturday with cherry tomatoes, carrot bunches, scallion bunches, summer squash, fresh herbs, garlic, and a limited amount of slicer tomatoes and fairytale eggplant! Over The Moon Soap will be at Market this week with their Goat Milk, Shea Butter and Essential Oil Soap. Treat yourself, or someone else to this little bit of luxury. And, they have Shampoo Bars too!
They will be at Market every-other week for the rest of the season.

I look forward to seeing you at the Mineral Point Market this Saturday. I will be adding a selection of Seasonal cards to my table, a chance to find the perfect card to send out for the holidays. Shooting Star Farm

Reminder – I will not be able to take orders this week for boxes. Things should resume next week as usual. Warmer weather has been helpful for ripening the tomatoes. I will have some mixed cherry pints, a small amount of red and roma tomatoes, saladette tomatoes and heirloom types. Fennel is ready again this week, as well as a nice, new crop of green beans. Other items: colorful sweet bell and Italian frying peppers, shishito peppers, globe and Japanese eggplants, two types of cucumbers, fresh white onions, fresh Italian bottle onions, shishito peppers, lettuce heads, salad mix, arugula, basil, beets (red, golden, and multi-color), green cabbage, summer squash and zucchini, kale, kossack kohlrabi, cilantro, dill, and anything else that looks ready to harvest! Another beautiful day is in store. See you Saturday!
