Happy Harbor Tees
Hi there! Allow me to e-introduce myself, I’m Esther Hill an artist who lives in Dodgeville. I’m an oil painter and I recently started to design t-shirts. You may have seen me at the market without knowing it because we just don’t know each other yet. I love food. I love the earth, animals, and people who produce it for us. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Mineral Point Market, I designed a shirt for the occasion and I’m happy to share it.
Even during this uncertain time filled with hardships, we have loads to be thankful for including our community and access to nutritious food grown by our neighbors. It’s a feat to be celebrated having a thriving market in a community for quarter of a century. Now more than ever it is important to gather at the table, albeit 6 feet apart.
You can order t-shirts now, the opportunity will be open now through June 29th and then we go to press so don’t delay. Be a cheerleader for delicious, local food!
The details:
1. Unisex adult t-shirts run true to size and are forest green heather.
2. “What’s on the front? I can’t quite tell from the image mock-up…” The whimsical style depicts some of your market favorites including basil, strawberries, tomato, honey, cheese and lettuce.
3. T-shirts are $25 each, add $2 for XXL. (No extra tax)
4. Payment is due at the time of your pickup. Cash preferred, Square and Venmo payment options are also available.
5. Pickup days are at market during normal market hours of 8:30 am-11 am on the following Saturdays: July 11, 18, and 25 and August 1st.
To order, please email happyharbortees@gmail.com with your first & last name and the sizes you would like to reserve. Order now through June 29th at 10pm.
If you have any questions please email happyharbortees@gmail.com or call/text me at 608-425-9858.
Thanks for supporting this great market, local artists and food producers! I can’t wait to meet you at the market.

Scrappin’ With Joni
I will not be at Market this Saturday, but look forward to returning next Saturday.

Shooting Star Farm
Crazy several days here at the farm. I’ve had equipment issues. Plus the deer fence was down several days (unbeknownst to me) and deer got some yummy lettuce, beet tops, and peas! Fortunately they didn’t clean me out, but I need to make some repairs before they bring their friends to the buffet.
Being a bit distracted I apologize if I fail to mention some crops for this Saturday. Here’s my best guess: Large heads of romaine lettuce, green butter lettuces, and red leaf and green leaf lettuce, mixed medium-sized lettuces including little gem romaine, salad turnips, bunched beets, kohlrabi from the field (somewhat smaller tops), Swiss chard, kale, salad mix, arugula, red radishes, possibly some sugar snap peas, basil tops, cilantro and dill. The cucumbers really slowed down with the cool nights, but I hope to have some by Saturday.
Prefer to pre-order for curbside pick-up on Saturday? Go to www.shootingstarfarmwi.com. Ordering starts at 6pm Wednesday and closes at 7pm Thursday or sell-out). You can pay in advance with credit/debit card, or pay at pick-up with check, credit/debit, or cash (exact change appreciated). See you Saturday! – Jenny
