May 9th – Week 2

Scroll down to see individual vendor product offering for this week’s market

Wow! We had probably the best opening day weather in the history of our 25 year old market! Thanks so much to everyone who came out (masks on!) and supported our vendors! We so appreciate you! This Saturday our vendors will be back in Watertower Park with products for the whole family. In addition, we welcome Over the Moon Soap Co back for its first time this season. Check out all their offerings below.

Didn’t find what you needed last week? Please be patient with us, we’re all adjusting to learning online store management, inventory management, and market safety. In addition, we are still very early in the season and it’s been cool so not a lot is coming out of our fields yet but there will definitely be more to come. Please keep coming back because as the season progresses our tables will become more bountiful and your options will be endlessly tasty.

Most of our vendors are offering the option to either shop the market or pre-order for curbside pickup at market. Be sure to scroll down to learn who will be at market this Saturday, what they’ll be vending, and how to purchase from them.

This market will stay a safe and healthy place to shop if we all take measures to protect each other. Check out our covid safety measures to learn more. Remember, we’re in this together!

Here’s a map highlighting where curbside pickup will be taking place

To make curbside pickup even easier, please have a sign on your rear passenger side window with your FIRST and LAST name + the farms you ordered from.

Here is a partial list of items at this week’s market:

Beef, Pork, Bacon, Poultry, Cheese, Eggs, Boy Choy, Salad Mix, Arugula, Radishes, Salad Turnips, Lettuce Heads, Maple Syrup, Honey, Sweet Bread, Scones, Muffins, Cookies, Bars,  Breakfast Burritos, Artisan Bread, Coffee, Sweet and Savory Baked Goods, Jams, Soaps, and much more. Come and check it all out!

We look forward to seeing you this first Saturday of the season in Water Tower Park, Business Hwy 151 at Madison Street, Mineral Point! 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.

Bures Berry Patch

I think last Saturday was the best opening day weather we’ve ever had for the Mineral Point Market! We certainly had a great turnout! Bures Berry Patch is happy to be bringing you fresh, local, and safe products for you and your family’s dinner table. The asparagus is slow to come so while I’m happy to announce that we’ll have some asparagus this Saturday, in limited quantities, we will have loads more next week if it happens to sell out. We will also have items to fill your pantry such as honey and maple syrup. Sorry no eggs this week; our chickies can’t keep up.

You can get any of our available items either by shopping our stand at market or by ordering curbside pickup. If you are choosing to pre-order be sure to select the Mineral Point Market as your pickup location at checkout. Want to pay by check or exact change at pickup? Enter coupon code PayatPickup! Shooting Star Farm

Thank you to everyone who shopped in person (masks on!) or came for curbside pickup at our first Market of the season. We are all working to adapt our businesses to new and safer systems and so much appreciate your support and patience. I was impressed with how well things went. Here’s the info you need to know for this week:
1. Pre-ordering for Market pick-up is available from Wednesday at 6pm through Thursday at 7pm only at my website. (Times are different than last week -still figuring this out!)
2. You can pay online in advance (preferred), or pay with check or cash at pickup.
3. Each week I hope to offer a standard box of produce plus individual items for pre-order.
4. If you need just a few items, my Market table will be stocked with some of everything, but in much smaller amounts than in the past. Please arrive between 8:30 – 9:30 for best supply.
This week’s selection will be similar to last week’s: boy choy, salad mix, arugula, red and French breakfast radishes, salad turnips, and some smaller lettuce heads from the hoophouse. No spinach this week. The over-wintered crop was a bust this year and I harvested everything I had for last week. Lots more will be available in coming weeks.
Starting May 16th I will have tomato and basil transplants for sale. Frost is predicted for this Saturday, so we need to keep those plants cozy in the greenhouse. See you Saturday! – Jenny
